Reading the Book of Ruth, I am very impressed at the powerful role models Ruth and Naomi provide. The qualities they demonstrate are surely an excellent example to all women. Especially in this increasingly foolish world in these last days, as we approach the end of the age.
A time when idols of every kind are worshipped, while the Bible and God are ignored.
Who is not moved at the words of Ruth in Chapter 1, verse 16/17? Oh how she shines compared to worldly role models that young girls follow these days.

● Eph 5:1 . . Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children

Webster's defines "imitate" as to follow as a pattern, model, or example, i.e. copy.

One's dad is probably the most important role model a kid can have, that is, if he's
a good man; otherwise, he'll just be another bad influence. It's pretty kool when a
kid can look at their dad and honestly say, from the bottom of their heart: Dad,
when I grow up, I want to be just like you.

It is of course impossible for Christians to utilize God as a role model in their
natural condition; which is described by Rom 8:5-8 as resistant to His influence.
However, their natural condition is treatable by means of the birth Jesus spoke of at
John 3:3-8.

● Eph 4:20-24 . .Surely you heard of Christ and were taught in him in accordance
with the truth that is in Jesus. You were taught, with regard to your former way of
life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be
made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be
like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Yes, we named our daughter Ruth and our son Paul.
As a truthseeker, I like to identify with the honest disciple Nathanael (John 1:47).
