Art is my gift from God, and though I've done Biblically related art for the majority of my life, it was not differentiated until recently when artwork was inspired by sermons. In the process of reviewing past works, many have been found to fit into that genre.

This first on was done for a Christmas musical in 1998, "Bending Toward the light, presented by a local community theatre. It was the first of many murals in which I was commissioned to do and features "a whimsical night scene of Bethlehem" as the director requested, measuring 12 x24 feet:

Other works will follow, as they present themselves.

I really like this painting. The star is especially interesting as I see both a star and the Angel of the Lord.

Thank you, @Seeker47, it is interesting that you were drawn to the star, because there's a minor interesting story behind it.

The lady who created the star was a friend and art therapist, as well as being a member of the Jewish faith. She created the star, and the director liked it and asked if she would do the mural. She replied, "That's really not my forte, but I think I know somebody who can" and asked me if I would be interested.

As mentioned in my initial post, it was the first of numerous murals done for the community theatre. I've also been commissioned to paint a mural in a shopping mall, and on an outdoor wall.

What's also great about your perspective, Seeker47, is that I hadn't ever really seen the "Angel of the Lord" side of it until now.

What an eye you have!
