Bipolar Disorder – Is it Demons????

I'm not completely disagreeing with you man. Mental illness can also be a result of demonic attack, but our flesh isn't perfect so I don't think it can all be considered demonic. I think they use our disfunctional flesh to their advantage to work behind the scenes. This thread proves they're doing their job of keeping themselves invisible and the fact that most people won't even try to recognize spiritual war is a shame, but not all cases are demonic. Some may start out naturally and be complicated by attack. Some may develop as a direct result of attack. Some may just occur naturally and have nothing to do with attack. It's impossible to know. Denying demonic attack is real and claiming salvation in Christ blows my mind, however, and this seems to be the outlook of most Christians. How can you believe one exists and not the other? The debate is interesting, but impossible to prove one way or the other. I think bipolar is a result of natural causes and demonic attack, but everyone with bipolar has not been subject of an attack, while some may have been. There is no way to know for sure.

Also I meant to say that psychological disorders have physiological dysfunctions and abnormalities in chemicals of the brain. So while they are mental diseases, they have a physiological cause.
 
I'm not a doctor, but if i had to guess, I would say it is a chemical imbalance
 
Angel but you don't know -- That's why we have an open discussion -- but it seems like everyone wants to tell me I'm wrong but again those who have responded proved my original post.

Then people seem to get angrier at that. So instead of telling me I’m wrong sit back and watch.

I do understand why so many tell me I’m wrong because they are scared to sit back, watch and learn.
 
Please say you don't mean that we should accept your teaching (because you are certainly not asking, but claiming) without questioning it.
 
I’m asking you to take what I say in consideration and sit back and watch. Stop beating me over the head and watch. It seems like many are scared to come to the conclusion that these people are fighting demons. I don’t understand this.


Why is that so scary?

I see people talk about how deceiving the anti-christ will be. How he will give everyone the mark, but Christian that pay attention will be able to recognize him but you are scared of seeing a demon.

How will you protect yourself if you are scared to even look for a demon?
 
I haven't seen anyone say it is not caused by demons. We say it can be but that it does not have to be.

You are not being attacked, you are making serious claims and we are disagreeing ;)
 
Disagreeing on what bases? What are you using on your behalf? A doctor said? Do you believe a doctor is going to say DEMON?

Let’s allow bipolar people to speak, but it seems like a bunch on here doesn’t want that and I understand why because every time they do they prove the original post.

Re-read my earlier few posts man. I wasn't completely disagreeing with you. It's nice to know some people do try to recognize demonic attack, but i think blaming everything on it is folly. I agree, however, that a lot, if not most cases, can be attributed to demonic attack. The problem is proving it.

attack - physical health, mental health, physical manifestations, dreams, nightmares
temptation - injected thoughts, impulse control, compulsions, mood control, emotional control

I believe this is how they work. But they just use our own imperfections to begin with. Not everyone with a certain disease or mental disorder is necessarily being attacked, but there is a good chance that many of them are. Or it may be that these physical flaws, or brain abnormalities make certain people more susceptible to attack. I dunno, but it's good to be able to speculate. Most won't try and just ignore spiritual warfare altogether. So again, it's good that you are least trying to understand it, but I don't think trying to prove -everyone- with this particular problem is under demonic influence is the right way of trying to figure things out.
 
I'm not including anything physical that cause mental. Getting hit in the head hard, stroke, lack of oxygen

Also I don’t care about chemicals in their brain .. I’m sure if it’s demonic then it would change our chemicals.

Now since you believe it can be some then start paying attention and if you find out I’m wrong and have proof bring it to the table. I will gladly listen to all.

If it was demonic possession that changed our balance in brain chemicals, then medicine must be counter-demonic . .

Personally, I know what I know. My opinion is my opinion and like many here, our opinion differs to yours.
 
I already discussed the medicine and why it may control demons. From the demon liking the meds to the meds make the person so numb that the demon can't have fun with them so they leave them alone or they just know they have this person beat down enough that this person want accept Jesus so they leave them alone until they try to get off the meds and the demon comes back to rattle that cage again .

And may bring 7 more worse than him

This is a common myth about bipolar meds, that they make you feel numb. One of the worst examples is the song Lithium by Evanescence. Some lyrics:

Lithium, don't want to lock me up inside.

When the singer was asked about it, she said she'd never even taken the drug. She's complaining about a side effect she never experienced and, in fact, wasn't even singing about the literal drug. How irresponsible is that? Lithium (and most other bipolar meds) doesn't make you feel numb. It does make you pee a lot, but I don't imagine this drives demons away. If you're above the therapeutic dose, it can cause numbness and tingling in the extremities, but this isn't the same thing.

So, why do people think it makes you feel numb? Because it's given to people with psychological disorders, who go through periods of depression. Saying the meds cause numbness is like saying bandages cause gunshot wounds.

I was on clozaril and lithium for a while. They equalize you. You do kinda have a bit of a numbness to you. No real joy and no real sadness. Just kind of a middle where nothing is as colorful as before. But it turned out I was misdiagnosed and didn't need the drugs so.. Could be why.

Is someone deaf because of demons? What about being blind? Is it because of some secret sin they committed? What about those born that way? Did their parents commit some secret sin? It's so funny that people from the beginning of time have blamed demons and sin on every bad thing that happens. I wonder what Jesus would have said to this? Oh wait, He did say something:

"1 As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3 “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him." John 9:1-3

Jesus casted out lots of demons from blind people, deaf people, and crazy people. And it cured their ailment. Not saying all those problems are demons to make it clear.
