Well this one is a milestone for me so I am not really sure how I think or feel about it yet. Time will tell. Any pearls of wisdom?

My Sister just turned 60. She seemed to have a nice day. I don't have any advice, for myself getting older is a little scary, but I'm thankful that im healthy and still alive.

Happy birthday!

I hate Birthdays in someways, but only because I'm a fairly low-profile kind of person and like to fly "under the radar" so to speak and a birthday always puts too much attention on me :p. I've never wanted to remain the same age, and I've never wanted to get older, I don't have a problem with birthdays in that way (remind me I said that 50 years from now ).

Happy Birthday Ruth :)

I stopped giving any concern to my birthdays when I was a teenager. My family never made a big deal of it, so it just wasn't anything meaningful to me and hasn't been for...gee like 25 years or so. I turn 40 in January and I'll do the same thing I do every year - nothing.

Just another day (hopefully with a good dinner or some cake)

PS: My parents have rounded 60 and they're still cool (and crazy) :D

I choose to enjoy my birthday. (If I don't, who will?) I celebrate and show gratitude for the growth I've experienced, blessings I've received, the resiliency I've developed in the face of various challenges, heartbreak, depression, disappointments...I know it's not meaningless, even if it may sometimes feel that way.

I rang in my 30th in South America, best gift I could have given myself, truly a memorable experience.

Happy birthday to you, Ruth! 60 is definitely something to celebrate and I sincerely wish that you find a way to treat yourself lady, you are valued.

You are just a youngster. When you reach my age you will see life totally differently.

Dad set the bar in our family. He decided 70 was the birthday where he could no longer deny being old. And so, starting with his 70th birthday he started subtracting a year each year. He became 69 yet again. It's 15 years later. Dad is now younger than his three oldest kids. lol

So, you're not old for 10 more years, and frankly, at that time just start counting backwards.

BIRTHDAYS!

BIRTHDAYS!!!

YEA..............BIRTHDAYS!

Every blood washed, born again, child of the King has..........TWO BIRTHDAYS!

I know. I realized how old I was when the Lady at the VA Sign in Desk asked me for the last four digits of my SS Number. I said.... "6.")

She said, NO, the last four digits .............

I said.............SIX IS MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER!

The look on her face was precious........... but, the realization of how old I was hit me pretty hard.....

Gray hair or in your case gray skin is a sigh of wisdom perhaps that will cheer you my friend elephant :)

Its my 69th next Month. Apart for being thankful for living another year I tend to play it down, although I am a bit nervous about next years.
