The significance of walking through the animal pieces to ratify the covenant was that the covenant parties bound themselves to the covenant terms under penalty of being killed as the covenant victim was if they broke the covenant. In other words, if they didn't fulfill their obligations to the covenant they would be killed as the animal(s) was. It was a very solemn vow; nothing like it exists in our time

This is observable in the blood covenant made with Israel at Mt Sinal (Mt Horeb). As soon as they broke the covenant, God intended to destroy them, which would have been the just response. But Moses interceded on their behalf and God spared them because he is merciful.

And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people: Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation. Exodus 32:9-11

Nevertheless that covenant was broken and no longer in force. That is why God made another covenant with Israel in Moab (Deuteronomy 29:1)

is more then to life we all share in the now
  • Hebrews 9:14 (KJV) says, the blood of Christ purifies "your conscience from dead works to serve the living God."
The Old Covenant was a shadow of a promise; the New Covenant is the permanent, living reality of that same blood bond

Here lets just "Come and invite other to Come "

When Jesus returns to establish His literal, earthly government, the prophetic scriptures indicate that He will not merely receive a gift of bread and wine—He Himself will serve it as the ultimate fulfillment of the King-Priest Melchizedek.
This event unites the historic meeting in Genesis, the Last Supper, and the future government of God into one single reality.
The Banquets of the Coming Kingdom
The Old and New Testaments describe the setup of Christ's physical government as a time of immense celebration centered around a literal feast of food and wine:
The Prophecy of Isaiah: When God establishes His government on Earth, He promises a literal global feast. Isaiah 25:6 (KJV) states: "And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees..."
  • The Wedding Supper of the Lamb: Revelation 19:9 points to a massive, physical celebration marking the official inauguration of His reign.
  • Jesus' Direct Promise to Drink the Wine Again
During the Last Supper, Jesus explicitly tied the bread and wine of communion to a future date when His government would be physically active on the earth. He stated:
“But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.” — Matthew 26:29 (KJV)
This proves that bread and wine are not discarded symbols of the past. Jesus put the ritual "on pause" until His return, promising that when the Kingdom is physically manifested, He will sit down with His people and share the bread and wine once again.
The Ultimate "Melchizedek" King-Priest in Action
As established in Hebrews, Jesus is the eternal High Priest after the order of Melchizedek. When He sets up His government, He fulfills both roles perfectly:
As King: He rules the nations with a rod of iron from Jerusalem (Revelation 19:15).
  • As Priest: He does exactly what Melchizedek did for Abraham after the byattle. He steps forward to refresh, Nourish, and byless His victorious saints who endured the spiritual and physical battles of the end times.
Instead of an earthly king bringing a temporary gift to a man in general, the King of Kings will host the entire redeemed world, serving the ultimate "Bread and winye" to signify eternal peace, righteousness, and unbroken fellowship.
