Blown away by the uncaringness and disregard I'm experiencing on a daily basis

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

Just sort of blown away by what I'm experiencing, especially from the opposite gender (I'm male). In my life there seem to be a lot of women that have shown interest in me, but it is never substantiated to like caringness... I don't experience it. It all seems to be a sort of selfish thing, and with guys it seems to be all rivalry and one upmanship, with some comradery with people who are closer to me. I'm not liking it.

Just speaking about love in general, I guess, and yes, I guess. I'm just talking like a Californian (I'm not Californian lol).

Well, I'm in Cali and I'll take that as a compliment, 'love is in the air' here, lol. I like the Scripture you posted and this one in Jn 13:35, 'By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you have love and unselfish concern for one another'. So if someone has this haughty persona, bow out but why let that deter you? Many women would love to be dating who are nice and sincere. My advice is 'with God all things are possible' so if you're looking for a potential spouse, don't give up, God answers prayers, be patient and trust Him🙏!

The vast majority of people have always been inherently selfish. These days it's just a lot more feasible to show it.

It is currently easier to survive than it ever has been before. So mutual cooperation for survival is not nearly as essential. So it is much more socially acceptable to be selfish. So selfish people pretending to be selfless and cooperative is at an all-time low.

Personally I love it! It's a lot easier to know what a person is really like, a lot faster, than it ever has been before.

from the heart that displays the fruit of the Holy Spirit which Is according to chapter 5 of the Epistle to the Galatians:

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."[3]

Christians should show this love to everyone.

The other Is fruit of the flesh which the world shows where they might love one better than the other and Is not unbiased but biased ,where they accuse or excuse each others actions depending on their feelings.

sorry to hear this. it reminds me of the very high level of discourtesy & lack of responsibility when a phone call should be returned. same thing with messaging on social media. because person to person contact is not needed anymore, along with that, came what we have today, which is lack of calls returned & messages not returned!
