2 Kings chapter 22-23 recounts the sweeping reform that King Josiah made when the Book of the Law of Moses was found in the Temple while they were doing repairs. After all he did, after his death both of his sons, Jehoahaz and Jehoiakim did what was evil in the sight of the Lord.

Guess they didn't learn anything from what their father did.

It may have been a couple of generations.. I remember in scriptures reading a passage saying that there was a time period when God was not talking to the Israelis and there where no prophets in the land.. I cannot find it.. maybe someone else has read it and knows?
