Hello. I'm in search of a good book of encouragement for a man who has been through a lot this past year. He is struggling with an unwanted divorce. After being married for close to 20 years he is alone and starting over. He has children from the marriage and is sad because they no longer live together as a family. He is also having some issues with his young adult son not wanting much to do with him after a disagreement between the two. I am in search of a book or daily devotional to give him as a gift. I want something that he can relate to that will help him be encouraged and have hope!
Thanks!

When Days Are Dark (31 pages, as a small booklet would go, about hand size) I apologize, I had to transfer it to a txt format: See attachment, feel free to print it out or reformat as necessary to do so.

If you call this number (916) 434-3880 or (800) 538-7275 and ask for either Correspondence or Bible School, and ask for the Booklet, they may have a few manually printed copies to share, and they will mail it for free generally. Just ask for "When Days Are Dark, Pocket Book" (it's on the Bible School Pocket Book Shelf, was on the far right bottom corner shelf)

This isn't a book suggestion, just a suggestion. :)
Divorcecare.org has daily devotionals for people in his situation. Perhaps he'd like to check them out? I know the Lord has used them to encouraged and bring hope to many people. :)

Try "Stumbling Blocks a Lack of Knowledge" it has a moral guide and addresses attitudes of developing a good Christian character. It also has 365 modern proverbs that can be used as a daily devotional. It is available at most bookstores. :)
