Alright, booklovers, bookworms, bookaholics, I need suggestions, book recommendations. I have a few friends and I have resolved to go with books as christmas gifts this year. Will you please recommend good books for the following type of people:

Unsaved, happy-go-lucky type of person (female):
Unsaved, deep thinker and highly intellectual type of person (female):
Unsaved, nice and kind married couple:

Saved, free spirited happy go lucky type of person (female):
Saved, spiritually mature and serving in the (kids) ministry type of person (female):
Saved, spiritually mature and serving in the (music) ministry type of person (female):

I'm researching for books for these friends, that which will be a blessing to them, but a few suggestions from you guys would really help me out :) Thanks a bunch.

Sadly, no. And I didn't ask cause they'd find out about my gift :D But, I know the unsaved ones have read lots of fantasy books (percy jackson, lotr) and a few Max Lucado, John Maxwell and Zig Ziglar, even Rick Warren (cause they all love to read).

The saved ones, read a lot of devotionals, other than that, I have no idea :/

(Sorry, I'm more into MG and YA, which most mature people aren't into. lol)

My recommendations might seem a little counter intuitive , but I'll throw a few titles out there for consideration:

Unsaved and saved + happy-go-lucky (females): I have no clue what kind of literature appeals to this type. Since both are female, maybe... A Severe Mercy (Vanauken). I'm totally assuming that they'd like a book with romance in it since they're women. It has a sad climax and ending, though! :(

Unsaved + deep thinker: The Picture of Dorian Gray (Wilde) or The Screwtape Letters (Lewis) - the former if they're not interested much in Christianity, and the latter if otherwise.

Unsaved married couple: I don't know of any good "couples books."

Saved persons: The Narnia series (Lewis) to the one in the kids ministry. To the music buff, maaaybeee... Musicophilia (Sacks)? Depends on how much of an interest they take in both music and psychology.

I am just about to finish "Son of Hamas", it would be liked by all the groups. A non preachy thriller true story of a Palestinian's slow conversion to Christ and his involvement with Israeli's Shin Bet agents.

I really like John Piper. I know some people don't but I find he tells it like it is. Right now I am reading When I Don't Desire God: How to Fight for Joy. It's a good read! I have also read Desiring God and Don't Waste Your Life. All three are Piper books. You should check them out! :D

I would recommend these three for those who are already saved.

A good one for those who need saving is The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. I liked it as a baby Christian. ;)
Also Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. This last one is a devotional book but it's great!

A book that I think far exceeds Warren's "Purpose" book is, The Jesus Driven life by: Michael Hardin.

LOL I was just joking with Willie up there! I hope he sees that. I was being sarcastic.
I mean yeah, The Purpose Driven Life isn't very meaty but it's good, I think, for the young Christian who is just starting out. I've never read The Jesus Driven Life or heard of it, but I'll check it out too!

I like the Piper books because I find those full of substance and spiritually challenging. I think they take you to a whole new level and I really appreciate that.

Anything by Charles Stanley is also good.

Lol. Ooops. I am reading Charles Stanley's Waiting on God and it's taking me forever to finish it. Maybe because the subject is something I'm not really interested with right now.
