Born into a family of another faith. Found Christ

I was at my lowest, didn’t know where to look or what to do.

I asked God to give me a sign. Opened up the Bible that I had the urge to pick up one day and landed on Pslams 51:10

I was a sinner, lost my family due to it and am praying for reconciliation.

But that verse I opened to, I knew God would create me a new heart because I wouldn’t be able to do it myself. I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit and broke down crying.

Jesus is my Lord and my Saviour. I am still learning a lot about Christianity.

Would love some guidance from people that have been around for long.

Do not waver that you are sealed for salvation.
Lean on Gods guidance, and he will help you prosper in your way.
Follow your calling, and don't let pressure from other men disturb it.
A heart that loves toward God is always good. Keep praying for the good of others too.
Seek the Lord, and you will find him. That's mostly all there is to it.

You will be tested. Your heart will be proven. Even in darkness, seek the light.
And know that the light will never emit dark.

Love your testimony. My advice is to keep close to Jesus. Pray daily about even small things. Study God's word. Never forget that God loves you, even if things are going wrong - and they will from time to time.

Read th Gospels and the letters f the apostles.. Get well read in the Word while always remembering to pray for the Holy Spirits guidance.. In that way you will be far less likely to be decieved by decievers and religious scammers.. As the Bible warns be wary of wolves in sheeps clothing..

honest of you to admit the truth. so often, people lose out on joy, correction & self honesty because they lie to themselves & obviate themselves from advancement. Psalm 51:10 is a verse i memorized. thru out our whole lives we can be forever improving with our relationship with Jesus. the book of James is an excellent starting point, as well as the Gospel of John, Romans, Psalms & Proverbs, any "life-lesson" books.

Welcome, I don't know how long you have been a believer, but there are known points in every believer's life when there are challenges. They tend to get farther apart as one's faith life continues, but they still occur. The best advice I can offer is to find believers you can admire for their faith walk and do your best to learn from them and follow in their footsteps.

My two cents, know God is love and there is now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus, He is faithful to forgive 1 John 1:9 (NIV): "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness".
