My apologies to the OP and frequenters of this thread...
A few of these posts were done in a spirit of sarcasm, and also contempt for the ridiculousificationaryistic practices of the "powers that be."
Was there an executive order signed that I'm not aware of stating, "we are all slaves who must obey the most murderous of criminals?"
Spending more money on security to lock up parks than to merely leave them open? Who authorized anyone to tell anyone else where they can and cannot go in this 'free' country?
Telling veterans they can't walk down a sidewalk to visit a memorial? Spending money to put out barricades to block the area off...as if blocking off the area would help repay one cent of illegal debt that the bankers have perpetrated on the good sheeple of this country?
Park rangers who are "just following orders" and blocking off businesses and harrassing people who would otherwise be perfectly fine if they were just left alone to live their lives. As if somehow all the disgruntled grizzly bears were going to mass in force and invade the human populated zones on the edges of the parks and have a 'chew-fest' now that these areas were not kept under the scrutinous, all seeing and protecting eyes of the Park and Forestry Services of the USA.
And of course, the Federal Register, who in their infinite bureaucratic self propagating 'officiality', deemed it necessary to post a disclaimer on their website to the effect of...
"Due to an appropriations lapse, the Office of the Federal Register (OFR) is not updating this site. OFR is publishing documents in the daily Federal Register that are directly related to the performance of governmental functions necessary to address imminent threats to the safety of human life or protection of property. You can view those documents on FDSys. You can read more about OFR services in our blog post."
Another slice of personal philosophy if I may?
Perhaps the government 'officials', who are in their self perpetuating 'authoritarian power trip', should just go out for coffee, have a donut, and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine and stop making everyone around them so miserable with their childish antics.
Again, many apologies for my sarcasm and contempt, there's only so much hypocrisy I can tolerate.
I know it's not Christian to question or ridicule 'authority'...but wait a minute...hmm...
Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to His disciples, saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the chair of Moses; therefore all that they tell you, do and observe, but do not do according to their deeds; for they say things and do not do them. They tie up heavy burdens and lay them on men’s shoulders, but they themselves are unwilling to move them with so much as a finger. But they do all their deeds to be noticed by men; for they broaden their phylacteries and lengthen the tassels of their garments. They love the place of honor at banquets and the chief seats in the synagogues, and respectful greetings in the market places, and being called Rabbi by men.
