Brigitte Gabriel is president and founder of the right-wing American Congress for Truth and author of Because They Hate: A Survivor of Islamic Terror Warns America". Franklin Lamb, a journalist/writer based in Lebanon, wrote about her:

Hanan is the Islamophobic Lebanese woman, Hanan Qahwaji, who as a child lived in the South Lebanon village of Marjayoun overlooking the Lebanon-Palestine border during three years of the on-again off-again Lebanese Civil War before she became an Israeli collaborator and fled to Israel. Hanan, repackaged as "Rachael", soon quickly landed a job with Israeli TV and specialized in telling stories about how Muslims terrorized her and her Christian neighbors.

Later, repackaged as "Nour Semaan", a name she still sometimes uses, Hanan tells American audiences that she became a Middle East "anchor" in Israel. Forgetting to mention that her job was with Pat Robertson's Christian Broadcasting Network, working to spread his politically conservative, Pentecostal faith in the Middle East which includes Robertson's vision of rapture and how righteous Jews will all convert when Jesus comes again. The others will burn in Hell according to the Pentecostals. Hanan is sometimes known as,Nour Semaan, Rachael Cohen, "Dark Angel" and more recently, Brigitte Gabriel, founder of the anti-Islam Zionist hate group "Act! For America".[1]

Gabriel is also a contributing editor to Family Security Matters[2], a conservative foreign-policy oriented organization that claims to represent "security moms"' and supports President George W. Bush. FSM is, in fact, a political front group for the Center for Security Policy. (The phone number listed on the FSM website is answered by the CSP.)[3]

Gabriel is a crass propagandist: her specialty is denigrating and smearing Muslims and Islam. In this capacity her talks are sponsored by zionist groups in the United States. She is a featured speaker of the Hasbara Fellowship Speakers Bureau, which happens to be a hardline zionist propaganda organization. [4] She is listed as one of America's most dangerous hatemongers.[5]

Hasbara Fellowship Speakers Bureau Hasbara Fellowships describes itself as "a program spearheaded by Aish International" which "educates and trains university students to be effective pro-Israel activists on their campuses." [1] (hasbara is commonly interpreted as propaganda for Israel).

"Hasbara Fellowships, started in 2001 in conjunction with Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, brings hundreds of students to Israel every summer and winter, giving them the information and tools to return to their campuses as leaders in the fight for Israel's image. So far, Hasbara Fellowships has trained nearly 1000 students on over 200 campuses. Upon returning from the program, the Hasbara Fellows receive support from our staff, which offers various campaigns, programs, speakers and other materials and tools," it states on its website. [1]

As part of its work, the Hasbara Fellowships organizes a Speakers Bureau with the primary focus on promoting Israle (sic) on campuses in the United States and Canada.

propaganda noun (Concise Encyclopedia)

Manipulation of information to influence public opinion. The term comes from Congregatio de Propaganda Fide (Congregation for the Propagation of the Faith), a missionary organization established by the pope in 1622. Propagandists emphasize the elements of information that support their position and deemphasize or exclude those that do not. Misleading statements and even lies may be used to create the desired effect in the public audience.

Lobbying, advertising, and missionary activity are all forms of propaganda, but the term is most commonly used in the political arena. Prior to the 20th century, pictures and the written media were the principal instruments of propaganda; radio, television, motion pictures, and the Internet later joined their ranks. Authoritarian and totalitarian regimes use propaganda to win and keep the support of the populace. In wartime, propaganda directed by a country at its own civilian population and military forces can boost morale; propaganda aimed at the enemy is an element of psychological warfare.

lobbying
Any attempt by a group or individual to influence the decisions of government. The term originated in 19th-century efforts to influence the votes of legislators, generally in the lobby outside a legislative chamber. The effort may be a direct appeal to a decision maker in either the executive or legislative branches, or it may be indirect (e.g., through attempts to influence public opinion). It may include oral or written efforts of persuasion, campaign contributions, public-relations campaigns, research supplied to legislative committees, and formal testimony before such committees. A lobbyist may be a member of a special-interest group, a professional willing to represent any group, or a private individual. In the U.S., the Federal Regulation of Lobbying Act (1946) requires that lobbyists and the groups they represent register and report contributions and expenditures.
