Broken Family

Please pray for my family. My husband of 27 years is having an affair and he says he will not call it off. My heart is breaking. How do I save my marriage and family?

You know I have often pondered if that is God (you finding out) closing the door on that relationship. I often wonder if I am stuck in limbo because I am still here. I have recently went through this myself back in December and it tortured me and broke my heart and was a very dark set of days. I remember God pulled me soooo sooo sooo close to him and was right next to me during it all. His love was so pure and so beautiful and so real as was his comfort. I have never felt God as clearly as I did at that time except for the time that he picked me up and brushed the worldly off of me and brought me to him mentally and in my heart & soul and reminded me that I belonged to him and he changed my life forever. I know that the only reason I didn't have a heart attack was because he had me in his hands. Cause I am pretty sure my heart just wanted to give up but God said No Rebecca. I am the type of woman that is loyal and honest and faithful and I honor the man I call my mate. I am a lady of God. He made me into one. So being all that I expected the same in return.
I know exactly what you are going through except mine never came out and told me. Mine left me in our bed asleep and went over to the girl next door every night for about a month I think. When a man cheats on his woman the woman always knows. So many things add up to paint a bigger picture that a woman can see oh so clearly. The not knowing for sure is enough to make you just lose it. I forgave him, I'm trying to get over it. I do not trust him at all.
I still struggle with the heartache but God has become a buffer and he is helping me heal and he has taken the pain away which helps me to forgive and move forward. So I know that if you are a child of God you are not alone through this. He is the only answer and the only one who can help you sweetie. I am so sorry for the devastation you are feeling. If he refuses to stop doing this evil act against you.....leave.

And I want, have to let you know that you do survive. The pain may bend you over and settle between your shoulder blades and wrap around you with a cloak but that is when Jesus wraps his arms around you and is that soothing balm to your torn mind and heart. He lifts you up and he surrounds you in the most beautiful peace your soul was starving for. He whispers words of comfort into your heart and mind. He has friends send random unexpected text at one of my darkest moments that spoke of his deep love for me letting me know he was with me. I would wake up with the most beautiful Christian songs playing in my mind from the radio station I listened to Listen to Contemporary Christian Music online or find a radio station near you - Positive Encouraging K-LOVE every morning letting me know that he was with me from the very start of that day. God will draw close to you during your pain I promise you that. He is so beautiful to us during our greatest moments of pain in our walk called life. He has you. He has got this. He will show you what to do. Just...listen. I know that your pain brings tears to his eyes and that it brings him so much closer to you to comfort you and put you back together again. You will rise from this so much stronger. Women remind me of Willows because no matter how much the pain bends us we do not break, we come back up swinging. We rise from the ashes of devastation. I think a woman is the strongest part that God took from man to create us with. You will survive this. Your pain calls out to me so I had to try and help you with words. Blessed Be my Sister in Christ

Pray! Pray! Pray! Ask God for wisdom...and don't for get to look at yourself and see if their is something you have been lacking in,
to cause him to need someone else. Men need approval, they need to feel trusted, they need us to make them feel capable.
I will pray too!

He has broke trust with you...so his guilt is pulling him away.
If he does try to work out the marriage...try not to through this in his face...

He will run right back to her.

Find things that make him feel sucessful...and thank him for it.
If you want to rebuild the relationship, give it a good foundation...God's forgiving, understanding and faithful LOVE.

I have friends that have a stonger marriage for trusting God to fix their marriage.

It is NOT me it is God that I give that glory to HE is the one that does the most amazingly beautiful work inside of me. He uses me to be a vessel to do the most beautiful things I have ever witnessed. I hate that I struggle with thinking higher then myself then I should. That is when I bow my head in prayer and ask my God to please keep my heart humble because the devil tries to turn something heavenly into hell in a child of God. It is a price I am willing to pay because I know I just KNOW that i am where I should be because with a closeness to God the devil attacks Gods child. When you realize it, the devil has got nada on you *grinz*

I have to say, I am totally deeply forever and always with every ounce of passion you can imagine to be real in love with our God and King. To witness his presence in a man makes that man the sexiest man alive. For all you single fellas that want a good christian woman....look oh look for the passion of God inside of her. If she is the woman you want to serve our King with.......she will fall more in love with you if you love our God and are boldly in love with him. That is the key to finding a good decent woman that is a lady of our King. ( I have no idea why that came about but it just did so I'm leaving it haha)

I agree with God shuts a door that another may open. Or sometimes in other aspects, Someone else shut the door and God redeemed the situation by opening up another path. By ensuring you knew you weren't alone and offering something better. If the man repents, (not just regrets the change and asks for forgiveness but ACTUALLY CHANGES) then you may forgive him and seek christian council. However it seems by your post quite clearly that he intends not to change at which point I would drop him like trash while standing at a dump site. God is Holy and He dwells within you. He is everything you need and there simply isn't room for that kind of abominable behavior. God bless sister. You are greater than you know
