Bullying needs to be stopped, another child has lost their life due to bullying. It sickens my heart to see it, as I am now working in the schools and I have seen bullying. It is rare that I see a teacher do anything to correct the behavior. If anyone has children, please talk to them about bullying, discourage this harmful behavior. If this is not stopped, we will see more tragedies such as : teen suicides, school shootings, more teen substance abuse and more young teen sex.
 
I think bullying is a consequence of the fall of man. It is a narcissistic action that stems from a level of insecurity in it's practitioners. Those with the Love of Christ in their heart should never participate in this act of bullying those who are weak, or not particularly 'normal'. We should be ready to comfort those who are victims of bullies but as long as there are insecure people in this world, then I am afraid that we are going to continue to see this type of sick behavior.
 
i agree....right now my daughter is a prime target of bullying...she got assaulted last week..we filed charges at the police station and well it made it worse for her at school....now they have completey isolated her....the school isnt doing much of nothing...all i was told is to watch and let it die down...im beyond peeved off....not sure what to do....they supposedly have a bully busting program but its lame.....shes afraid to stand up for herself for fear they will gang up on her and beat her up....not sure what to do
 
I was bullied for many years, and I can't remember the teachers ever doing anything to stop it, perhaps because it was never physical, so they imagined to themselves it wasn't harmful.

I don't think people who haven't been bullied realize that it is torture. I honestly mean that, the exact same methods are used in torture:
isolation, ignoring the person, threatening, calling names, making the person believe he/she is the guilty one etc etc....

it does need to be stopped, and it should be made punishable by fines or community labor...
