An app for the phone that you can turn on and it would record audio onto a remote server. That remote server would have the audio. The idea is that audio can be used later in the court room for the defense of the user.
The user would activate the app and start the recording.
Even if the user never stops the recording, the recording would finish. In such an event like this a bad actor could be caught on it.
A person can have the recording running while going out on a walk to do shopping or the like.
In the event the end user does not flag the recording as bogus, the server administration would review such recordings submitted to them, and they could contact the authorities if needed.
The app should remain hidden. Only the user password can flag the recording. Plus, a device with one touch button can be used for this.
It would need be recorded remote server, not local.
