First of all, I’m certainly not a Person who is all consumed by the end of days. While I was laying on the couch today and looking at the news feed, I couldn’t help but feel that everything from politics, gossip OP’s, Holiday shopping secrets, sports, entertainment were all trite when compared to the events of today and the status of the Human existence. I thought to myself, are these like the days of Noah? My own thoughts told me yes. I what do you think?

no question...we are at the beginning of judgement day.
I do Grubhub as a way to make some additional money. While I was out working last night, I saw many happy People eating, drinking, indulging. I wasn’t thinking ill of any of it, but I just had this feeling that this how it was prior to the Great Flood coming. I must admit I felt like I was viewing all of this from third person perspective. I don’t feel like I was among them.

For it is time for judgment to begin with the house of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? - 1 Peter 4:17

This seems like the most hum-drum nobody-cares Christmas time ever. What a perfect time for the Lord to return for His own. Let Him find us watching diligently.

1Peter 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

2 Peter
3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

I've had that feeling more than once myself

I'm not a crowd follower anyway, but I understand what you are saying

kind of ties in with the scripture that says we are a part of the world but not OF the world

14 I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17 Sanctify them by[d] the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19 For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified. John 17

And I don’t look down on any of this as I was also part of this world. Though I called myself a Christian, I was very worldly.

I believe we could rightly compare the times in which we live with the days of Noah. That was a time of apostasy and wickedness on earth, and we are seeing that all around us. It was also a time when the world was focused on the pleasures of sin rather than on holiness and righteousness. The most alarming facet is the descent of Christendom into apostasy and the rise of Islam as a worldwide Satanic force.

All the Western nations have abandoned their Christian roots and committed themselves to godless Communism (by whatever name one wishes to call it -- Liberalism, Progressivism, Socialism, or Anarchy). This means the destruction of individual liberties and the promotion of evil and hatred, while making the State the god of society. What is happening in Hong Kong is a good indicator of the conflict between totalitarianism and liberty. And if the Democrats have their way and win the next election (by fair means or foul), they will destroy America. It would appear that no one understands the massive voter fraud which will occur during the next presidentiai election, with billions of dollars being poured into this by evil billionaires.

Evil angels had invaded the world and corrupted it before Noah's Flood, and today demons are working day and night to corrupt everything that is right and good. Franklin Graham has rightly noted that the vicious attacks on Donald Trump from his enemies reveal demonic forces at work. [Strangely enough, Pontius Pilate noted demonic forces controlling the Jewish rabble at the time that he had to make a judgment regarding Christ (see the Acts of Pilate)].

We know that witches have been commandeered to cast spells on Trump. We also know that ISIS was throughly demonic and has not been obliterated. But even the push to waste billions on *climate change* and destroy economies, and thus prepare the world for the New World Order and the coming Antichrist are also demonic. Satan is the master manipulator behind all world events, and his evil angels control nations today.

So we are indeed reflecting the days of Noah as Jesus said they would come before His coming with power and great glory. The Second Coming of Christ is not too far into the future, but no man should be setting any dates. The mandate to the Church is to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.

I agree with that too. We were all once "Mr Worldly Wiseman" at one time or another. Before we discovered Faith and Hope. Then we realised our wisdom was like filthy rags. Unlearning takes bravery and courage only the Holy Spirit can provide as you need strength not to run with the crowd.

Since Christ rose, folks have been eating, drinking, singing, dancing, and all such stuff. Even in the worst of times in History, such was going on.

Why should 2day be any more or less?

Fix your eyes on Jesus and worry not 4 2morow.

Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
Mat 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Business as usual as if nothing big is going to happen concerning the resurrection, and God wrapping it up concerning the wicked, but they keep going on as if everything is alright, for they will continue on with daily life not giving heed to the Christians warning of the end time like they would not give heed to Noah concerning the flood.

2Pe 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
2Pe 3:4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

Many will say there is no resurrection, and Jesus is not coming back, and the Bible is not true, or the interpretation of the Christians is not true.

But it did not help when some people set dates of Christ's return and it did not happen so some think it is not true, and made them look silly, and caused many people to look at fundamental Christianity as false.

Think how lucky we who have Christ in our hearts and love for the people around us are! I have a very churchie family, who busily work at showing ill will and hate. They are simply blind to the blessings of love that is Christ.

When we are busy building the ark, as we are when we radiate Christ, how blessed we are!

Yup, I think you are spot on. That day will come as a shock and surprise. Like the volcano in NZ that just recently erupted. Everybody was going about their day not suspecting that minutes later their whole world would change. It came suddenly and people were trapped. Bible states it as such, so it is true.

And we in the modern era have fallen very far. Are we not worse than Sodom and Gomorrah that were judged in an instant by fire? We can be thankful for God's Grace that we havent YET been judged so there is hopefully more time for us to come to repentance, for God is willing that we do so. But TIME is unidirectional, and each second that goes by brings us one second closer to the truth of judgement day.

May we have God's Grace, and in abundance.

A person spiritually inept would be the only one to deny that we are on the edge......When they shall say peace and safety........SUDDEN destruction.......we are fast heading in that direction for sure......and biblically speaking....the BIRTH pains are coming fast and hard.....
