All of this is quite meaningless. Priests cannot be a father because they forbid marriage. They dress like mother and want to be called father go figure. Do they call the nuns mother?

All this only serves to draw people away from Christ. Priests must be saved just like the laity. Nuns must be saved just like the laity. Until they are there is no way to address anything regarding biblical teaching for they cannot receive it. One must be born again and have the Holy Spirit abiding in their heart to understand scripture. By the way that include the pope who loves the preeminence over Christ.

Nothing matters until the catholic calls on Christ as Savior. Christ and only Christ saves from sin and gives eternal life. By grace we are saved received through faith in Gods word confirmed by the presence of the God's Holy Spirit.

For the cause of Christ

Okay. So, you cannot have an intelligent discussion or listen to an argument because it was TOO LONG? I'm sorry, that's just sheer ignorance.

To the contrary, when reading some treatise from hell, of pure error, if, in such as the first paragraph, somebody is setting a hook you know to be a lie, what is not intelligent is continuing to read any more garbage. Somebody promulgating any lie can be trusted in nothing. And to argue with cult ignorance, that goes on like some perverse War and Peace, is not intelligent. It's what I call a rabbit hole.

Or, in what conceivable fashion is there profit in reading endless fables, when one can read truth that is profitable? You should perhaps rethink what is intelligent and what is not, what is useful and what is a waste.

Matthew 23:9 tells us we should not call anyone Father on earth because we have one spiritual Father in Heaven. Why have Catholic churches ignored this and we see the congregation turning to the priest as father instead of turning to the heavenly Father as Father?

Because there will be people who do exactly what Christ says not to do- which is a good way to sift out false teachers and false religions when you are looking to identify the one true church of the bible. He also said not to call anyone teacher. When Jesus said this He meant it in a spiritual sense. When I speak of my child's teachers in school, or even Sunday school, I am speaking in the physical sense- a person who gets up and speaks in front of the class, who teach math, reading, or what Christ said- not the spiritual leader of their soul. But the Catholics do mean it in the spiritual way. I don't know how they dare do it, but they do. They sure are not my spiritual leader- I'm a CHRISTian not a CATHOLICian. Even if I had never heard of them, it would make no difference to my soul. But Christ- my Teacher, my Lord, my Master, my Redeemer- knowing Him makes a difference to my soul.

So, when Peter and Paul refer to themselves as spiritual fathers they were commiting sin?

It's not just the Catholics that ignore this command. Check the Greek. Religious honorific titles. That's the point Christ was making.
Pastor, bishop, evangelist, reverend, pope, cardinal, all religious titles. Check your NT. You'll not find one individual with a title in front of his name. Didn't know that did you? Titles cause a division. The lower class and the upper class. Everyone is special but the guy with the title is 'more' special than everyone else.
Jesus said 'let there be no divisions among you.'
In Matt. 20, He told His own that 'the gentiles have those that rule above and over them. It shall not be so among you'.(mine).
Titles reinforce the false paradigm of the clerical/laity system. One of the things Martin Luther did not jettison when he renounced the Catholic Church.

So today we have in place the deeds of the Nicolaitans that Christ said He hated. Nico: to conquer. Laitan: laity, the people.
The hierarchy construct right smack dab in the middle of the body of Christ and few take thought of Christ's command against it.
Again, honorific titles adorning one's name is forbidden. The worst is reverend. Found in Psalm 111. The Hebrew means awesome. It speaks of God only. How dare a mere sinful man put the word Awesome in front of His name?

Titles also are a cause for pride in the heart of the one who has taken a title unto himself. Also makes the regular folks, the unwashed masses feel less important in the economy of God. This should not be. We are all brothers, shoulder level. Only One has a right to titles. Only One is Awesome.
If you have a religious title in front of your name, you are breaking Gods clear word on the matter. Get rid of it, and come on down to the servant level where the rest of us lowly ones are at. Quit with the 'big cheese' thing except for maybe on your hamburger. Possibly a pizza! Check out Diotrephes in 3John. He wanted the preeminence also. He wanted to be Executive Pastor and quit his day job. John rebuked him.

In the Bible, there are church offices of apostle, overseer (bishop/pastor), and servant (deacon). Title always comes with office.

Yer, true growing up as a child. Calling a priest father felt gut churning. It just didn't seem right. Mind you I was the only Christian boy who was allowed to attend a Catholic Boys School. They did speak of the Holy Trinity yet the didn't mind to be called a position equal to that of GOD the Father.

Some would say not to take it literally. It's not like the Christmas Tree or keeping the Sabbath Day threads. This is up against the very title of our GOD the Father. I think it was disgusting at least I thought it was and I let people know about it. Then I was kicked out of the College as that and many other heretic cases I brought up to throw fire at with the school.

Calling a mere mortal sinner, giving him the title that only belongs to our LORD and our GOD. It is quite sincerely a vile and perverse act for anyone to carry. I think and feel if you do. Then that is called Ambush Idolatry. Satan causes sin and this is one of them. I am a kiwi but there ain't no pulling the wool over my eyes. It is wrong for you are putting the LORDS name against a mere mortal sinner.

No man deserves the titles Father or the Holy Father only the supreme GOD deserves and only deserves that title FATHER GOD.

I agree and it is quite simple and in plain verbiage for sure....CALL NO MAN FATHER ON THIS EARTH......quite simple and yet religions and converts of said religions will explain away the obvious or just out right reject it....they also have a difficult time with math as well...

There is 1 (ONE) mediator between God and men and his name is Jesus.....not PAPA.....

The Pope, Mary and priests have no mediating abilities between God and men.....JESUS is the only one...

Jesus is one

Jesus + Pope is 2
Jesus + Mary is 2
Jesus = Anyone is more than 1 (ONE)

My Bible states clearly ONE Mediator between MEN and GOD period.....and quite simple!

i hope you know the official catholic belief is that there is only one mediator also, they take pride in following every line in the bible.

They believe the following

the Pope , is just taking the office of Peter, that is all

Mary, like other Christians is in heaven praying for us. As the bible states some saints are "given more crowns in heaven". She is the one who was the closest to God because she was the lady who gave birth to him that is all

I would do some more research, I have studied every branch of Christianity extensively

Also all Christians have mediating abilities if they choose to pray for others

come on guys ......

Good question. Probably for the same reason they ignore most of the Bible

Yes, they ignore that salvation is by grace through faith, wanting to bring in water-baptism.

What leads you to suppose that all Christians can mediate between God & man?
Do you have a verse for it? A verse that says "mediate" or "mediating abilities."

Also presbyter, which is where the word Priest come from.

Etymologically I believe you are correct that "priest" is a linguistic corruption of "presbyter." However, in my English Bible, the English word "priest" is not used for presbyter (elder) presbyteros, but for hiereus, a man who offers animal sacrifices like Aaron, the Lord Jesus who offered himself, or all Christians who offer spiritual sacrifices.

The idea that some man is a priest offering up Christ's body in a church service is idolatrous and abominable.

Does priest call to mind the function of "elder" in your mind, as elder is defined in the Bible? Are not the functions of an RCC priest totally different from that of a Biblical elder?

I am glad you are reading your bible and recognizing the difference between the truth and falsehood.

In the Bible, there are church offices of apostle, overseer (bishop/pastor), and servant (deacon). Title always comes with office.

Precisely. By unbiblically abolishing the New Testament priesthood, objectors have little choice but to eisegete false interpretations of what Jesus said. So they invent a whole anti-Catholic canard based on half a verse. Jesus was using hyperbole, a literary form to emphasize not to elevate a man to God's level. The title "father" does not do this, as I have posted dozens of verses where "father" is used. Abraham is called "father"...but ignore...deny...ignore....deny.
Hyperbole, not stupidity. And how is Jesus supposed to be referring to a fatherly priesthood in Matthew when He had not yet instituted it? More stupidity.

Romans 15:16 applies the Greek term for priest (hiereus) to New Testament ministers, who are said to have "priestly duties." Why isn't this word applied to them more often in the Bible?
For the same reason it isn't applied more often to Jesus, the New Testament high priest--because most of these priests, like Jesus, were not from the tribe of Levi. In Jewish circles, the idea of a priest not being from Levi was absurd. Everyone knew God had given the priesthood to Aaron and his descendants (Ex 28:1, cf. Nm 16-17).

Most Christian presbyter-priests were not from Levi, much less the Aaronic line, and it would have posed apologetic difficulties for Christians in Jewish communities to refer to their ministers as "priests." An ordinary, first-century Jew would snort at that idea, saying, "Oh, yeah. Your ministers are priests. They aren't even Levites!"

The early Christians faced the same problem when it came to the fact that Jesus is the New Testament high priest. Jesus was from the tribe of Judah, not Levi. A first-century Jew would scoff at that idea, too.

So when the Church was still largely Jewish, the priesthood of Jesus and his ministers was kept in the background, and the Greek word for "priest" was used for them only rarely. In that way non-Christian Jews would not automatically reject Christianity and could become familiar with it before being hit with the idea of non-Levitical priests.

Thus there is only one book--Hebrews--which directly refers to Jesus as a priest and only one book--Romans--which directly refers to his ministers as priests. Other books of the New Testament show Jesus and the presbyters doing jobs only priests can do, but the term hiereus is not used for them.

When Jesus' priesthood is directly stated, the author must go to great pains to justify the idea to Jews. Non-Christian Jews were arguing that Christianity could not possibly be true because Jesus could not be the high priest of the New Covenant. He was from the wrong tribe: He was not a Levite. To reclaim his Hebrew Christian readers, who were in danger of going back to Judaism, the author of Hebrews had to show that this fact did not matter.

That is the basic function of Hebrews chapter 7. It is okay for Jesus to be a high priest because he was not a priest of the order of Aaron but of the order of Melchizedek (Heb 6:20), an order which was older than the Aaronic one (7:1), which did not require a special genealogy (7:3), which was superior to the Aaronic order (7:4-10), which was prophesied to arise again one day (7:11, cf. Ps. 110:4), and which required "a change in the law as well ... For it is evident that our Lord was descended from Judah, and in connection with that tribe Moses said nothing about priests" (7:12-14).

The writer wanted to keep his readers from going back to Judaism, and so he had to prove that "it was fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, blameless, unstained, separated from sinners, exalted above the heavens. Indeed, the law appoints men in their weakness as high priests, but the word of the oath [Ps. 110:4], which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made perfect for ever" (7:26, 28).

Once the Church ceased to be mostly Jewish, this was no longer an apologetic problem. Gentiles did not have the idea that priests had to be from the tribe of Levi, so they could convert without this being an issue. Thus, after the Church became mostly Gentile, the priesthood of Christ and his ministers became more prominent.

a rabbit, will hide in the hole,if you take a net made like a purse and set it over the hole, the rabbit will by instinct look out the hole,he cannot see if a fox is sitting on the behind side of the hole so again by instinct when he darts out of the hole he will always go in a burst and then at about 20 feet turn and look at the hole to see the thing he could not see from the inside of the hole. The purse-net is his demise because he not knowing the thing behind the entrance will always dart out of the hole at full speed and turn to see if a fox is sitting there.,,,hence they will always dart into the trap if you set forth the meanings to each of the words,,,,,,,

The Rabbit Hole can also be the term used out of Alice in Wonderland. When she went down the rabbit hole paradigms of life flashed by. Also used for people who are incoherent and watch YouTube videos all night.
