ROFL! Hearing "YOU" say "perceive."
Chalk another substanceless statement up to being ungenuine and unauthentic.

And then he wonders why I don't believe his 'sincerity'.
Again, I welcome constructive criticism, so please be specific when sharing loving reproof.
Thanks.

I can see a fine edifice of criticism, perhaps not all constructive as he would like but more accurate than he might like, and that would be because a good many have tried and gone on, having been rebuffed with the finesse of pouring hot oil over the wall of
scriptures pulled out of context and badly beaten into another shape.

Hopefully, a person has at least one true friend or if truly blessed more than one, that would take on the thankless task of correction but not before being convinced in prayer that such a move is adviseable.

Yeah, a true friend always gives the benefit of the doubt (at first). Even more so, edifies and does some action when the other is wrong, leaving not the other behind but bringing them up to a higher standard.
Not everybody is humble, and some cannot even receive grace.
It is better to give to them in secret, that is, if they are the particular object of affection.
God uses ordinary means.

I'd like to frame your post and hang it on my wall as a reminder.
Unmerited favor.
To clarify, if an earthly judge demonstrated true grace, he/she would have convicted somebody innocent (or let the guilty go at the expense of the innocent). Obviously, justification is emphasized among the self-justified, and sanctification is a blank space here on some pages.
I'm not over-explaining that to you @pinebeach because unlike some others that throw around "perceive," you'll get there if given a moment of pause. Not that I am more perceptive than you.
I appreciate the grace you demonstrate here on this board to me personally by providing considerate and ridicule-free responses, all the while realizing "that man" disagrees, and rightfully so, with everything.
In this stagnant small pond with appropriately sized fish, you are contrasted and stand out.
I meant that as a compliment, whether we agree or disagree on every subject or topic.
Your civil rational discourse is noted in your favor.
As for me, I have to shower after engaging "that man."

Well thanks. You are in a minority but that might be a good thing. ;)

You know, this forum used to have far more variety and people who actually knew their Bible but people come and go and I think more of the latter. I've done it myself...a few times...and come back.

I sometimes think that 'God help us. This is what is going on in people's heads in church on Sunday morning?' Explains alot.

The mark is impossible but there are steady invisible hands on the bow or none of us would ever 'make it'.

You truly should stop with sarcastic blasphemy and actually take the time to read the Bible.
Read,the Bible. Cover to cover.

See above.

Be careful.
In the Bible God warns,he is not mocked.
You do this repeatedly.
Believe it or not, God sees this.
I am safe. Acts 16:31 John 3 :16. Equal privilege and equal opportunity for ALL

It's the calvies that need severe discipline and mock Gods TRUE Grace.

The mockery in that post depends on a shallow, almost cartoonish picture of God—as though divine mercy must be one‑dimensional
John 3:16 @Roger316 .

You paint a cartoonish picture of God........John 3:16 pictures a Savior of the WORLD......

But NOOOOOO says the calvie, He can't cover all sin and offer salvation to all......Just you and your special ones.

Give me a break, God is shaking His head at you "special ones." And we will teach you the truth in the eternal state.

You cannot overcome 1 Corinthians 2.
In context the passages you cite there are reflections of God's Election.

The natural man is spiritually dead. They cannot understand the things of God...They are spiritually discernd.

The mockery in that post only works if Calvinism is reduced to a kind of fatalistic fog
It's only mockery for calvies.

John 3:16, Acts 16:31.

The fatalistic fog IS CALVIE/REFORMED theory.

How can you guys not see this?..........Some of your kids are screwed in calvie theory.

In Bible truth they all have equal Privilege and equal opportunity At HIS salvation.

The Poor kids of calvie theory parents!

Election is SERVICE for BELIEVERS only.

Salvation is equal privilege and equal opportunity for ALL.

The calvies/reformed folks are not elected yet...........They can't even figure out salvation.

No, not Fatalism.
Biblical Predetermination.

"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."

God uses our choices to fulfill his plans. Whether or not he chooses to receive us into his grace.

Proverbs 16:9
The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.

What is His purpose? calvies think that it's his "Soveriegn will."

The Lord Jesus Christ IS His purpose.

Acts 16:31 and John 3:16......Perhaps you are way too familiar with these verses? I hope that is the case.

The Lord Jesus Christ doesn't even come in at a close second in the calvie theory.

Well you did say that. You said exactly that so either you have a faulty memory or you hope everyone else does.

So there it is. You put yourself in a terrible position and you are quite good at it. You and a few others here lie without any fear which tells me something I won't write down but perhaps some here know what lying that often means. It does not bode well for you or anyone else that is committed to that practice.

Jesus is not a system and God, who is also our Father if we have accepted his final offering for sin, did not send Him to this planet to be or create a system. You would know that if you were not following a system that is not biblical and not inspired by the Holy Spirit. You are following a dead man who did not even make mention of all you say you believe, but that still bears his name.

You do not have to choose a thing bub. You have already chosen and so have I.
Well, you have once again exposed yourself as a liar and a false accuser. The word "Satan" in Hebrew means "adversary" or "accuser". In Abrahamic religions, Satan is known as the Devil, the primary symbol or personification of evil, and the ultimate enemy of God and humanity.

You falsely accused me of claiming that a 5 year old cannot be saved because they are not capable of understanding.
When I asked you why you accused me of making such a ridiculous claim, you quoted me as stating, "A 5 year old doesn't have the capacity to understand what being born again means".

How does saying "A 5 year old doesn't have the capacity to understand what being born again means", translate to mean "A 5 year old cannot be saved". I never claimed that a 5 year old cannot be saved, so I don't know what compelled you to twist what I said to make it say what I didn't say. I can only assume your Arminian indoctrination prevents you from accepting the truth of the matter.

What is His purpose? calvies think that it's his "Soveriegn will."

His purpose is not His sovereign will. His eternal plan is His purpose. Jesus Christ is the focus of His Fathers plan. His sovereign will is that which insures it is accomplished. The redeemed are those blessed by that plan. God is glorified in that plan.

I hope you realize, that John Calvin was not the first to publish works you so readily condemn. Works on the subject of Election and Predestination can be found as far back as 400AD. Augustine was the first to have readily available works about these subjects. Martin Luther, began the reformation, in part, discussing these and other subjects.

The Lord Jesus Christ IS His purpose.

Would you be so kind, as to further explain, what you mean by Jesus Christ is the purpose.
Acts 16:31 and John 3:16......Perhaps you are way too familiar with these verses? I hope that is the case.

Why do those, who disagree with points raised by Calvin, always quote John 3:16, as if it were the "greatest" verse in Holy Scripture?

The Lord Jesus Christ doesn't even come in at a close second in the calvie theory.

That statement is utter foolishness. Jesus Christ is our everything. Without Him we could do nothing.

You are welcome to your theology. I will be content with and continue to fellowship with Jesus, the Father and be inspired by and taught by the Holy Spirit...by study, inspiration and the teaching of those who are equally inspired by the Holy Spirit and acknowledge that we can only know of God what He graciously allows and some more than others.

Obviously I have not resorted to slander. You are a false accuser and that does not bring you into good company.
Thake heed, lest you be deceived. The unholy trinity mimics the Holy Trinity.

Satan Mimics God the Father as the ultimate source of authority.

The Antichrist mimics Christ, receiving a parody of death and resurrection and demanding worldly worship.

The False Prophet mimics the Holy Spirit by performing signs to direct attention and worship toward the Antichrist.

There are 49,000 Christian Denominations in 2026, many of these hold to radically opposing views on the key bible doctrines. Your theology is not supported by the bible, but I guess that doesn't matter to you.

That's not the correct teaching in the scripture.

If we are able to choose Salvation, given the destiny of the unrepentant damned, who would refuse?

Burn eternally or choose Heaven and live forever.

If all people could freely choose Salvation, given the alternative, and if God wanted no one to die condemned to Hell, why keep Hell open?

And why not save everyone on earth , present when Jesus died, and forever in future, the moment Jesus died?

The names of God's Elect were written in the Lambs Book of Life before the foundation, creation, of the world.

Before Adam and Eve.Before Sin entered the world.

Jesus the Lamb of God was slain before the foundation of the world.

All of God's preparation before creation,to save those he named. Those who were not yet created at all. Before Adam and Eve .

It is the impossible to contest Sovereign predestination given all that God says he did to prepare to save those he chose and whose names he put in the Book , before he made the earth.

It is impossible to legitimately argue with contextually legitimate Bible proof , that man can choose to write our names in God's Book of Life by choosing to have God put us in his grace at our request.

However, this impossiblity is still pursued as credible doctrine.
And its proponents are usually the same people who insist, just as we chose God , he didn't choose us, and Salvation, we may just as readily lose Salvation.

Making us our own Saviors,by our will. Saving ourselves by choosing to believe
God lets us determine his giving of his grace.

Flesh,human will power,self determination.
