Can a believer get involved with politics? (Part 4).

Continuing to answer the questions.

Perhaps some will say: “we need to have someone in the power so that we can be heard and have influence”.

Nonetheless, since the Old Testament the Creator said:

• Zec 4:6 -> “Then he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts.”.

The truth is that never will have true repentance, conversion and, thereby, salvation unless that Jesus and His Holy Spirit work in the life of the individual:

• Act 16:14 -> “One who heard us was a woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple goods, who was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul.”.
• 2Ti 2:24-26 -> “And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.
• Joh 6:44,45 -> “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day. It is written in the Prophets, ‘And they will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me—“.
• Mat 11:27 -> “All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

Everything starts in Jesus, is made in Jesus and finish in Jesus (Rom 11:36). Trying to come into the kingdom of the heaven without pass through the door which is Jesus Christ is loss of time and effort. Such a person will be ousted (Mat 22:12,13):

• Mat 15:12,13 -> “Then the disciples came and said to him, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?” He answered, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up.”.

Other people can allege: “but, if there are Jesus’ followers in the power, they can be used to protect the Church against persecutions and injustices”.

Not at all. When the Creator has His plans, no one can hinder them (Isaiah 43:13; Job 42:2). He Himself will watch for the thorough fulfillment of His word (Jer 1:11-12). See, for instance, the case of Jesus:

- Not even with all the efficacy of Ha-Satan and his demons, the Sanhedrim could find a “FALSE testimony” against Jesus. He had to use His mouth to say something that He knew that would be reason for His death;

- Not even with all the power of the enemies against Jesus and His disciples, they could put their hands in Jesus. All of them fell down on ground. They only put their hand in Jesus because He allowed this in order to fulfill the Holy Scripture (John 18:4-8).

The same will take place in the fulfillment of Revelation. Even with all the efficacy of Ha-Satan (2Thess 2:7-12), the antichrist won’t be able to control the world. The own Creator will intervene so that all what was is written can be fulfilled (Rev 17:17).

So, the important is to know the will of the Creator for us (Ps 25:14) and live pursuant to it. Henceforward, all the true evil will be veered from us and what He allows, will be for the glory of His name and our eternal salvation.

Thus, have a good day seeking solely in Jesus and His grace without depositing your trust in “horses and cars” (Ps 20:7) or in “the power of pharaoh” (Isaiah 30:1-3; 31:1-3).

Tomorrow we will keep on answering the questions.
