Can a believer get involved with politics? (Part 7).

Continuing to answer the questions.

Someone can question: “Shun politics is like put the Creator in a ‘little box’ (that is to say, put limit in Him)”.

It is the opposite: when we try to sort out the problems by ourselves and making use of the principalities and potentates of this world (against which we ought to fight SPIRITUALLY – Eph 6:12), what we are trying to do is to fight against Ha-Satan exalting His methods and weapons. Even if, apparently, we get a “good” outcome, in the end, what we are saying is that Jesus and His Word and power aren’t sufficient. In other words, we are denying the power of the godliness (2Timothy 3:5).

The Creator desire to show that He is God:

• Psa 46:10 -> “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”.
• 2Ch 16:9 -> “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him…”.

All that He is biding is to find someone whose heart trust Him perfectly, such as little children trust their parents outright (Mark 10:14,15).

Someone can ask: “but it is necessary to have organization in the society”.

This recalls what Jesus said to certain man when He invited him to follow Him:

• Luk 9:59,60 -> “To another he said, “Follow me.” But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.” And Jesus said to him, “Leave the dead to bury their own dead. But as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God.” “.

Although bury a dead was an important service, it can be done for everyone. Nonetheless, preaching the true gospel is a special task which can only be done for those who really have commitment with Jesus and His kingdom, who are constantly in His counsel:

• Jer 23:18 -> “For who among them has stood in the council of the LORD to see and to hear his word, or who has paid attention to his word and listened?”.
• Jer 23:22 -> “But if they had stood in my council, then they would have proclaimed my words to my people, and they would have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their deeds.”.

In other words: who believes in Christ has more important and sublime things to do. Don’t allow Jesus’ seed in you be choked (Luke 8:14; Mark 4:19).

So, have a good day letting Jesus be God in your life and using you for things that can give blessings and salvation much more excellent to people around you.
