I can't imagine doing anything else with this life away from the Lords will. The impact on me of my instant deliverance when I called to God and completely submitted my life to Him, not only opened my the eyes of my heart, I know endeavor to be a pastor saved by grace with nothing but love to humbly, boldly to transmit. Being filled with the Holy Spirit has given abundant life, I have been redeemed, reconciled, and the regeneration of sanctification I have the God abiding within me, a love so unconditional I must spread the good news. Beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news. There is nothing greater than love, and Jesus loves me!!!!!
When I was in the throes of addiction, spiritually dead and not wanting to die an eternal death, I cried out to God for help. I had walked for so long, lost and void of love, literally in the desert, I had thick pads on my feet like a dog. I wondered for 4 years, without direction, breathing my last. I am hopeful and pray that no one lead themselves to the gates of death as I did, however, for myself it was necessary for me to reach a point of surrender, and shall never look back. I no longer live in the past, although I will shut not the door on it as my testimony contains the power of the one true King, not of myself, a gift from God. This what I now have to convey is for anyone who truly wants to change their life and get to know Jesus in an intimate relationship, and do so in a safe environment away from the world surrounded by teachers and good counsel, and to receive the teachings of Jesus, where all ones needs are met, and spiritual growth occurs immediately, free of monetary obligation. I am not using this site as a means for advertisement, but an olive branch to the lost. there is a commitment, and in no way is this a cult or recovery program. It is a discipleship program designed to illuminate the lives of the lost, and the only requirement is to seek the Lord with all of ones self, and in a couple of months, and a measure of dedication, my new life in Christ is proof of His power and might, if one would find within themselves the strength to submit and obey, eternal life is the only way, and the only way to be with the Lord God is through His son Jesus Christ. You and me Bro. I used to Drink, Smoke, Gamble, and went through 2 marriages. Then I net a Lady who Loved God, and her shining light led me to an old fashioned Altar in October 1987. Good took out my bad things, and replaced it with his Spirit, and never wanted to ever return to the Hog Trough I used to live in..
I am so overjoyed to have aquainted with a kindred spirit in the brotherhood of Christ. I lost my hummingbird here on this earth, however, in many ways her passing drew me nearer to God. When she died I never knew such loss and brokenness. The Lord did come to me when I called to Him, I never asked for signs or wonders, although through His miracles the world cannot know, He shined His light upon me, and in many wonderful ways exposed His glory to only me in a fashion of which I was only to see and understand, of which the righteous residue that remains of Him in me, is Him in me, for the world to now see. His glory, not mine. He is so worthy to be praised, and the rest of this earthen vapor of life shall I spend in not being ashamed of the gospel, and to be a worthy vessel of truth has become to the sufficiency of my ability, my occupation. Any person can be a Christian, no matter their scars, addictions, their past or their present. Moses Killed a man and God called Him to lead His people, rahab was a prostitute and is in Hebrews hall of faith, saul, was imprisoning believers and approved of the killing of an apostle, held the coats of those stoning Him in approval. His purpose was to destroy Christianity. God gave Him a new name, and He penned over half of the new testament......many other unknown Christians have many issues in their past, opresent and even future.
God is able to heal and deliver us, Jesus died for us while we were all sinners in many ways. Yes, God is all about accepting the worst of us who are struggling and showing His glory by changing our Lives, in the name of His Son Jesus Christ.

Wonderful testimony. Sorry, for your loss of your better half. God only loans us people in our lives. They are his gifts to us. Keep walking straight with The Lord, and you will find it is going to be worth it all..God Bless!
I tell you now, of my entire life as human, the years, the pain, the toils and snares, knowing what I know now, I would repeat 10,000 times. To have the Lord within me, a wretch like me, is indescribable. Just knowing that the creator of heaven and earth is pleased with me and calls me son, and has purchased me with the blood of His very own one and only son, what else can be said. Knowing this, how could one not spend the rest of their moments in this temporary place, telling everybody everywhere I go about His majesty and might, tactfully of course. I shall preach the gospel everywhere I go and when necessary use words, amen
Yes you can be a Christian but it sounds to me like you are also reaching out for help as well I do not know what drugs you are talking about but please try to get help with this problem God will love you and walk with you on your road to recovery if you let him and believe that you are worth more in life then where your at now please get help do not loose faith it will take time and patience

I appreciate the concern, but no, I wasn't reaching out for help. It was an honest question based on how I see people react to various sins and people's eligibility to be Christians. I have a difficult time wrapping my head around how some sins can be deemed as acceptable while others will make you ineligible for salvation.
if that is what you are talking about then it is a matter of a personal perception of the word. Every Christian and person has their own belief of what the word means I could say God would be okay with x,,y,z, and someone else can say oh no that is not allowed at all. It all boils down to the persons own relationship with God. If one thinks it is wrong and talks to God about fixing the problem then I think God would be forgiving if someone is flat out basically sinning on purpose with no intention on repenting then No God will not take to kind to that.
I don't think that is how it works though. Either it is the same for all or God is not just. Personal perception can just be wrong and lead you the wrong direction.
How fortunate we are in that the Lord, God of heaven and earth, being jealous for us, defines with precision the one sin that would keep us from glory. True treasure, what a promise, the future is bright!!!

Nope, it's like another method of suicide, slow but sure.
Anything which is bad for one's health is prohibited.
So, can a drug addict be a christian? If you are already a christian n then fall in the pit of drug abuse, you're still a christian, if you still believe in Jesus and call yourself a christian. It's just, you have to admit your wrong doings and ask for forgiveness and ask God to help you and deliver you from the snare, and get back to the right path as soon as possible without reasoning or keep making excuses.
Why? Because if you can tell right from wrong, but choose to stay in the wrong path, you are fooling yourself around, and you are playing with God.
Remember, God is love, but God is God. What do you think a good father will do to teach a stubborn child?

You are so right, and God is God. I have had a very colorful life, I have been all those things detrimental to life, and hated by society. Who I am today is proof of glory. I was a heroin addict, crack smoker, methhead, I ran with the grateful dead. When I cried to God I was more than broken Jeremiah 33:3. He has given me abundant life. Sure, we all suffer from what I call the human condition. An intimate relationship can only begin with constant communication, talking with the Lord is second to nothing, amen.

I am so glad to hear about your story. Honestly I want to cry. I know about the life of a drug addicted person quite well.
Because my brother fell victim for meth a few years ago caused by wrong friendship and it might also be caused by many other factors. I think the main caused is he was mad with God because he felt that God was not fair, that God took his father away when he was only 10. He is now 21.
I have lost a very big sum in last few years. It was a very difficult time. My mom condition dropped drastically.
But today we still stand on our feet because of God.
This is the 8th time I sent my bro to the christian rehab centre.
But this time it was he who asked me to help send him there (the rehabilitation centre is located in another province, another island), he asked me to get someone to go along with him because he was afraid he could not control his will. ( I once tried to bring him to the rehab which he is in now, but he gone wild at the airport and refused to get in the plane and I only got a very small amount of double return ticket refund -- I used to prepare everything well before going anywhere but that time, I did not even feel like to book a hotel for my few day stay there... I felt weird but later... I felt lucky thank God .... ). So he was accompanied by a pastor, an ex-drug user with bigger body build.
Now he is getting better each month. His mind set must change, because they read the Bible everyday, have sessions etc. There is power in the Word.
There was time when people said negative things, which might tear our faith down. And they are christians. It is true that the person himself must seek God for help of course. But, in my situation, I have done everything I can, prayed every prayer I know. If God can heal so many other type of chronic diseases, God can also heal my brother from addiction.
I trust God does have His own agenda. I've been trusting him. If God can change Pharaoh's mind, he can also change my brother's mind and mindset.
Once when I was sitting alone, all of a sudden I was reminded of the story about Maria and her brother Lazarus. I believe God knows all the pain in my heart. How can you look at your brother's suffering from meth living a zombie life? Trust me, he almost died. He didn't wake up for a few days. And his bad friends ripping his pocket by convincing him to take higher n higher dose to prove himself! Many had died from just 1/4- 1/2 compared to his dose.
I find encouragement in reading your story. I trust God this is the last time my brother spend his days in rehabilitation centre.
Because God can set you free, He can also set my brother free.
Please pray for my brother whenever you have time. So when it is time for him to come back home, God will lead him to the right community, acticity, and friends. Trust me, he has NO GOOD FRIEND. I believe you know how it feels like when people are afraid of getting in touch or near you.
I think this world needs a dedicated intercessor who will willingly pray for drug victims because the bad influence has been spreading everywhere and destructing many from various age range.
I pray for you and this thread starter also. I will remember both of you in my prayer.
