Can atheists prove that atheism is based on facts and not fantasy?

Then chances are you will have some sort of journey back to God when the time is right. God allowed me to turn my back on him for about 12 years or so. I lost all faith and even called myself an atheist at one point. Then God pulled the rug from under my feet and I was confronted with inescapable proof that God must exist. Only two months later I was back in church. Now, I am closer to God than ever before. He does speak to me now and then and each time it is always just a few short words that are absolutely jaw dropping.

If it is God's will, you will be back with Him.
 
What is there to prove? if someone don't believe, then its there right to disbelieve. Why do people need to prove that they are Atheist? This is really childish in my eyes. Atheist are atheist, they believe what they want to believe in. It's they themselves who need, or want prove that things exist.
 
Yeah, they've tried that one on me, but yet they fail to explain how a single event can cause a placebo that's lasted for years, or how placebo can cause such a radical change that lasts.

If something is unexplained, it is not mean that is God doing that.

Well then, you could stop interjecting yourself in conversations that weren't about you. My original comment was in response to Crispyfry, not you, and you made it about you to turn it into something else.

As I recall there were no rules against interjection.
 
Is it true athiest do not want to be responsible for anything? Just do as they please , no consequences, sin if they want,
no accountability? Forget or do not even acknowledge the true God, the creator of heaven and earth, the one who if it
was not for his spirit they would not even be breathing.

And now you're trying to evade the fact that the conversation between me and Crispyfry had nothing to do with you or your personal views/opinions.
 
Your conversation is in a public place. In a space where anyone is free to read it, they are, therefore, free to comment as well. If you want a private conversation with no interjection or input from others it should be done in PM not in the PUBLIC forums. He has every right to voice an opinion here. You're evading the fact that you're having a conversation in a place where anyone has the right to join in.

Atheists get their morals from a rational consideration of consequences of their actions, that is how they decided what's moral, they don't believe in sin, when you commit a wrongdoing, the best course of action for them is to go the person and asks for forgiveness. When they die, that's it for them.

With response to Megaman (my favorite game), that is something that needs to be proven. Atheists may answer "how do you know that God did it?"

He's free to comment all he wants, that's not the problem. If you actually follow the conversation, it can be summed up like this.

1. Crispyfry made a comment expressing his view
2. I made a comment, QUOTING CRISPYFRY, about the flaw in his view
3. Grey assumed the role of Crispyfry, then proceeded to whine about how that wasn't his view.

Why is it so hard for people to follow a basic conversation? The problem isn't me "being horrified" as Grey so mockingly put it. The issue is, I was addressing SOMEONE ELSE'S VIEWS, Grey came in and took on the role of those views for a short period, then whined about my comments, saying that they weren't his views. IF IT WASN'T HIS VIEW THEN GREY SHOULDN'T HAVE INTERJECTED HIMSELF AS HAVING THOSE VIEWS.

Seriously, I hate having to explain the conversation to people.

I understand what you are saying, but in this case Ugly is clearly correct. Even if you had fully intended it to be private, posting it publicly allows others to comment.

It goes much further than this. If atheists admit they can confirm nothing as truth, then how can they be sure Jesus didn't exist or that Christians base all their beliefs on fantasy? Again, atheists admit they know nothing for sure! Everything they believe is based on what scientists assert as EVIDENCE of why things are the way they are, just as Christians assert that faith is EVIDENCE of things unseen. In other words, this debate has to do with what evidence each one of us chooses to believe leads to truth. So if atheists admit they know nothing for sure, how can they possibly claim they know for sure there is no God?

I think atheists would ask the same, do you have facts for Christian beliefs?
