I have made many mistakes ever since the age of 13. When I was thirteen I ran away with a 16 year old boy. We did things at the time I didn't even know existed. I thought he would take me home but he never did. I had been arrested the next morning when my parents had found me. The next year when I was 14 I had a long distance relationship with a boy who was very controlling. He would get angry with me if I would not send him pictures he had wanted. After sixth months of putting up with being yelled at and controlled, I had made friends with a Christian girl he led me away from him. I had gotten saved on November 21, 2011. Me and that girl had swayed away from our friendship a few months after. The next year a guy had used me. When I told him no to sex, he got angry and left me. And now, to this year is when I messed up the most. I had met a guy who seemed like a great guy at first but it all changed. He had controlled me. I wasn't allowed to talk to my friends who were guys or do a lot of stuff. My time had to be his or else it would start a fight. We fought everyday. Yes, I had done the bad thing with him. But he just drag it on too far. I didn't feel like a had a choice at times or I would be in trouble. I had realized after our biggest fight that I wasn't who I was for the longest time and needed to get out and I didn't know how. I had finally gotten out of it about a month or two later. I have now committed myself to God again and it feels so much better. I am a lot happier. But there is still that guilt and feeling of " what if I'm not good enough?" "What if I've made way to many mistakes to be excepted?" I worry so much that my past cannot be forgiven. I know it can be but it's hard to forgive myself. I just don't know what to do sometimes.

Everybody has made "way to many mistakes to be accepted". Jesus did not die for a "limited" number of sins. And neither did He set up quotas where when you have used up your "Number of Sins" you are no longer elligible for being saved. There is nothing like that, it isn't a coupon that we get with the Bible.

That being said, I hope I am not speaking to a person who thinks "We can sin all we want, because if we don't, Jesus died for nothing". That statement is heresy. There is a huge difference between "All sins can be forgiven" and "Sinning because it can be forgiven".

The fact that you are happy and have joy because of your communion with God is good news, it means you are accepted. Now, you must cry out to God to help you with your "weaknesses" and you yourself must try and stay in God's permissible limits (no I am not advocating Work Based Salvation), just like Peter walked above water with faith, try to remain outside relationships that aren't Godly, God will help you stay out of it.

Get down and pray to Him, because ultimately He is who saves and forgives, you needn't forgive yourself, but you have to repent, which I think you have done, continue in it.

On a broaded view, yes saved person can sin. Because according to me, salvation is not a one time event which makes a sinner into a saint in a split second. So yes, a Christian life is pretty much of ups and downs, but it cannot be One Step forward and Two Steps back, its more like Two steps forward and One step back.

Thank you so much, it means a lot. No, I don't beleive it is okay to sin because I know il be forgiven, I've just had times where I would drift away from faith. But this really helps my mind settle. Thank you very much.

The best thing about Jesus is that no matter what you have done...he will forgive you. Wipe your slate clean. Paul persecuted Christians, Moses a murderer, and David committed Adultery. Yet, God still used them. That's why we have the Holy spirit to teach us and guide and make us more like Jesus. I don't care what you have done...Jesus died for your sins and your transgressions.

Even now, God forgives us as Christians for the things we done, we just need to repent(Turn away and never turn back) and keep moving to become more like Christ. In actuality, God will use the troubles and trials you have been through to help other people come to him. Just continue to get in his word, be in prayer, and be guided by the Holy spirit. The more you get into the word the more you will know him.

We all have to repent at times even as Christians because we cannot do it by ourselves-meaning living perfect- only Jesus could do it. Even the most powerful preachers and Christians have to ask forgiveness at times. Once you have asked for forgiveness then you move forward and don't look back except only to remind you and show others where Christ has brought you from

God bless you!

I'm so happy you turned back to Christ :). Yes, you are forgiven because Christ's blood was shed for your past sins and also for your future sins. Of course, Christians are to try VERY hard not to sin but unfortunately we won't be perfect until we get to heaven. We have to be careful not to use that as a permission slip to sin. God knows what is in our heart...He knows how hard we are trying.

To continue to grow in Christ study the Bible, pray, listen to Christian music, and fellowship with other Christians. This will give you a lot of encouragement and guidance. You will need this in order to resist the pull of the world :).

Praying for your continued strength in the Holy Spirit to be your constant companion and comforter.

Thank you all so much. Your advice will definitely help me be stronger in my faith. I am very thankful that God has brought people like you to help others out with their situations. Thank you, and also thank you for the prayers. (:

Don't give up, you have a good attitude and good desires...God will bless you for this and help you to reach the goal!

That's the whole point of being I, starting afresh. When you repent and get saved, spiritually you are born again like a new born baby, you are pure and not one sin can be counted against you. It becomes a major problem that can get God angry in an instant if you find your self going up and down with boys like before. You have to never go back to that old you, and keep your self pure and never date another guy without intension to marry, any other relationship is a sin to God because you are looking for self pleasure. You will sin again and that's fine as long as you don't sin purposely, like "I know it's wrong but, man I just have to... God will understand." that's a NO NO No, because you are just being stubborn. You can find this in Number 15:28-32. Only an innocent sin can be forgiven but one out of defiance will cause extreme problems. God bless you.

Thank you, that is very helpful. I had known it was wrong at the time but I was so lost in everything. I have come to my senses now. If I knew it was wrong at the time, but I now feel bad about it. Will he forgive me? I want to move forward in my life.

of course YES, If u repentance and admit your sins,Messiah will forgive u
Trust upon Him :) and don't give up

God is ready with open arms to forgive you of everything! God's grace is better than our disgrace! If we confess our sins He is faithful and just and will forgive us of all unrighteousness.

I advise making God your true love and let Him do th picking now when it comes to guys(for in th farther future). This seems to be a weak spot for you and that's ok, matter fact it's great 2 know bcuz you know what u must pray up on and stay away from. Be wise and don't worry about guys right now and stay focus on a strong, sturdy relationship with th Lord.

Also think about Paul and Peter, they hav a pretty bad background check. But God used them and their now known as one of th greatest apostles :)

Of course he can! he's loved you from the day he made you and his love never changes, no matter what you've done or continue to do, he will be there waiting to guide you and to love you, I know how it feels to be reminded of the past and I feel like a hypocrite when I try to share my faith because I haven't always done right, but that's the devil condemning you so you don't go back, so that you feel that he couldn't possibly ever want you or forgive you again, but his grace is not given through our actions, but for what he done for us on the cross...God will continue to forgive you no matter how many times you fall, God bless :)

Christ said the amount of times He forgives is never-ending:

"Then Peter came up and said to Him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven.
”" ~ Matthew 18:21-22.

Have a read of this: What did Jesus mean when He said that we should forgive others seventy times seven?

hey i'm scotty, i wanted to tell you this.... Peter denied Jesus 3 times. when Jesus was risen from the dead, he asked Peter 3 times, "Peter do you FULLY love me?" Peter said yes all 3 times... then he asked Jesus to forgive him. what do you think happened God forgave Peter. and yes God will still love you no matter what you do. i know you messed up. we all do. its human nature. but as long as your asking God for forgiveness, and meaning it, God will over see those sins!!! what mean by you have to mean your forgiveness to God you have to do your best to not mess up again.

i hope this made sense?

God forgives. But don't do it again. I know humans backslide and go back to sinning a lot but try not to.. Jesus will always help you . And if you truly repent and not do it in the future God will forgive. (:

Yes it does! Thank you very much this verse really shows a lot to me
