Hey everyone,

My names Hailey and I've just been through a really hard breakup with one of the most wonderful people on earth. He was the only one that genuinely made me happy and I'm hurting a lot. I've been praying to god to help me get over the hurt and I've been reading a lot about how people got back into their relationship through prayers to God. I know God can't just magically make us back together or brainwash the boy into getting back with me but what if I keep praying and having faith and hope is it possible for me to get my ex back? I know he wants me to be happy but I don't think I can truly be happy without having this person in my life. I know its god's will before mine too but i will do anything to get this person back no matter what. I love him so much I don't think I'll ever stop loving him. I've already been praying every single day to god with many different prayers

Some extra info:
We broke up because the boy I was with believed he couldn't make me happy and he said he wanted what was best for me but believe me before him I was so depressed and when I found him I was the happiest person alive

We didn't completely lose contact, my ex and I agreed to still be friends so maybe its a sign that our relationship still has hope?

Girl, you need to Let Go and Let God:) seek God and see what He tells you about being with this guy. I know you’re hurting atm but only can God heal you and your ex at this time.

Proverbs 3:5-6 :)

Blessings.

Sometimes we need to stop holding on to things. It's just that simple. I've been down that road. Held on to someone and tried to get them back. It backfired big time and I suffered More than i would have if I'd just let them go.
If God has any interest or desire to see you two together then He will work towards it to happen at the right time.
It sounds as if you are basing your ability to be happy on having him or not. So you are already convincing yourself things will get bad without him. Setting yourself up for failure.
And if this guy is sincere in his reasoning and not making an excuse then you Need to learn to listen. When people say such things it's a warning. You're ignoring the warning.
Another thing I went through. I met someone that had a lot of acting out from some inner pain. We eventually discussed it and it seemed to improve for a while, but it started showing up again. While we both loved each other and wanted to get married the fact that we each ignored what she was going through is what broke us up. You're in the same position I was in. Ignoring the earnings to hold on to what You want for Yourself.

Someone once said to me, about this woman, "I can tell you really love her because you talk more about how much you enjoy doing things for her instead of what she does for you".
While an awareness and appreciation for the good things another does for you is important if your primary focus is on what you're Getting rather than Giving then that's a warning sign about you as well.

Take it from someone whose been there. Bring yourself up to a place where you need less from others before entering anything serious. And learn the wisdom of hearing and accepting what people say about themselves regardless of your feelings. "I can't make you happy" translates into "I'm not ready for a relationship". Pushing and holding on only causes you to damage yourself further.

Hi! Sis :) welcome to CC :)

My ex once told me like that...but I tried my very best to hold onto him...and few more years we broke up...Now,looking back... I wish I listened to him to save myself from hearbreak...

Thank him for being honest with you...move on because if he really loves you and has interest in getting back together he will win you back...don't chase anyone who doesn't want to stay with you...you will only putting yourself in so much pain better wake up now and accept the truth.

For me, I think just like our brother said...he doesn't really want a relationship with you he is not ready yet...and that's his way to not hurt you that much by telling he could not make you happy to not make himself feel so guilty and let you down easy...

You are young and seems like the person who, you will love next will be very blessed to have you :)

So Wipe your tears sis :) sometimes rejection is God's protection :)

God bless you ❤

Sorry for your recent break-up. It is great that you are praying to God in this situation. Have you considered concentrating on your relationship with God first before having a boyfriend? Spending time praying, going to church, and getting involved with a Christian group or ministry will help you cope better. A boyfriend can't replace your spiritual needs. God will provide for your needs.

God can mend/heal broken hearts. When the word says, " by his stripes we are healed " it wasn't limited to physical healing but emotional healing as well. Allow God to heal your heart. It will not be an overnight thing. The word says that God is near to those who have a broken heart. In this time, he is very close and waiting for you to reach out. And, if your relationship is in the will of God then God will bring the two of you back together. :)
