I've been reading a study bible lately and it is continually saying that if you aren't witnessing and seeing people saved you are failing as as a Christian. On the surface that sounds like an okay statement but I have a problem with it.
I will use myself as an example. Right now I am in a place in my life where I spend most my day/week at home (some days I don't speak to anyone other than my husband) and don't have much, if any at all, contact with people that are unsaved. Then there's also the stay at home moms/dads, the young adults/teens whose whole life is school and work, the people that work long hours at a hard job that after work just go home to just unwind then the next day start all over again. I know for the working man/woman and the people at school you have your co-workers and schoolmates but eventually you'll run out of people there.
Is the study bible correct and do they(myself included) just need to try search out people no matter how difficult it may be? Or is it wrong and does God allow you to go through periods of time where you won't witness or see people get saved? Maybe a time of growth or something along that line, a time where God will/can use you for other things.

P.S. I'm not just being a "stale" Christian, I serve in my Church, I use my spiritual gifts, I have my time and a place, I try to let God work in my life and grow as He see's fit, and in my examples the people "are" too.

I am not sure how your Bible Study is applying whatever scripture they are using to give such an oppressive standard of judgment, but if you have children as well as a husband, that is a witness of your faith in Him. Indeed, having a short Bible study with the family is the better call in these latter days than not when so much disinformation and lies and worldly influence are out there along with peer pressure are out there to sway any believer when they are not grounded in the word in the KJV. Some can sow the word in reaching the lost, but watering the word is also a witness and a service to the Lord.

1 Corinthians 3:[SUP]5 [/SUP]Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?[SUP] 6 [/SUP]I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.[SUP] 7 [/SUP]So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.[SUP] 8 [/SUP]Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.[SUP]9 [/SUP]For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

Although I believe women should be silent in the church service and not teach, as the men are supposed to, the women can minister in their homes and outward in social activities to keep members involved and having fellowship and thereby instilling that desire to come to church to be with "family" in fellowship with the Lord.

So MarcR has it right.

We are not under Law but we are under grace. This does not excuse us when we have an opportunity to witness and fail to act. That would be outright disobedience. If your life gives you few opportunities to witness, don't worry about it. Just witness when someone is open to receive it.

1 Peter 3:[SUP]15 [/SUP]But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
