Yes, because HE said so. It is His promise through the power of the SPirit of Christ. The Spirit that was given to man as a gift when we come to repentance.
This is Not as the opinion of man as perfect, surely not. How can flesh be made perfect when it is born separated and in enmity against God?
Here is the difference: We do not hold the opinion of man as our truth, nor only part of scripture to excuse sins, but the bible as a whole, to put to death flesh and sin and encourage the Spirit of Christ within us.
Our flesh is not the perfection God seeks. In the flesh dwells nothing good. The flesh cannot be a Holy Master, but an evil selfish master. It cannot please God, EVER.
As a matter of fact In John, we see the need for a soul to be born again in Christ to keep us from sinning. If we who are born in and of the flesh come to Christ saying we have no sin *especially following a law*, we do not have truth in us but a lie. God says we are all born sinners. Our breaking of even the smallest of laws proves this. We cannot be saved by the law, but condemned.
We have always followed flesh in our lives until we are truly born again in Christ. God says the flesh cannot please Him. So, If we follow flesh we are under the law and are found in sin. However, After Christ, we should follow His perfection; what He is doing through His Spirit in us. As believers, we are now born of love, power, His Spirit. The flesh and Spirit battle over the soul of man. And praise to God if we allow the emptying of ourselves with the flesh dethroned, we can now through His Spirit walk in the perfection of love and power. We have the power to choose to follow His Spirit. So with that let us look at this perfection through the truth with the confirmation of His Words (emphasis mine):

1 John 4:
15Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. 16And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 17Herein is our love made PERFECT, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as HE IS, so are WE in THIS WORLD. 18There is no fear in love; but PERFECT love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made PERFECT in love. 19We love him, because he first loved us. 20If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 21And this COMMANDMENT have we from HIM, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

AMEN!

Are you saying that the born again spirit or soul is perfect. This perfect soul struggles with the flesh until it wins, and the flesh dies but the soul, that perfect soul, moves into heaven?

Yes His Spirit, this same Spirit is perfect. This perfection comes in (welcomed and received) to the soul to over come the lusts of the flesh that leads to death and yes and if we follow this Spirit... He wins. How do we know? Because of this hope manifest through Christ Messiah when He came in the flesh: He over came the flesh, devil and world...even death in Victory with this same Spirit of GOd. When the Flesh fully manifests judgment of death and dies, the soul however, is no longer connected to flesh to stay in sheol. Instead it will manifest the reward of following The Spirit by rising in resurrection with the Spirit of God to His kingdom -life eternal. Hallelujah :)
Love you girl !

I agree teh Holy SPirit in us is perfect --But I still have problems conquering my flesh-My human soul- I practice daily allowing the Holy SPirit to have HIS WAY in me by surrendering to teh HS . BUt i still can make mistakes in flesh therefore I need to repent of my sins that ive commited in my flesh-and because of JEsus dying on the cross He gives us instant forgiveness and does not think of it again. purifying our soul once again. Jesus is the answer to conquering our flesh (sinful nature) without JEsus I would be ALL SIN ALL the time--HE left me with His Holy SPirit so I can be convicted of my sins daily or weekly-- or however often I sin. anyway--my view and my explanation.. Love you sister !!
It was good seeing you tonight in YOU sing!!! take care till next time--and JESUS loves you more than I do... :)
