The only reason believing brings salvation is because God promised to save believers.
False, Its promised He shall save sinners. Matt 1:21

21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
1 Tim 1:15

15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

No but a good witness will share the doctrine of Christ as it is according to scripture, 2 Jn 1:9

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

Even though God isn't confused, the one making the inquire may be, hence they asked the question, not God. So we should be able to tell a inquirer exactly who the Lord Jesus Christ is, and what He accomplished and for whom.

So what about the Lord Jesus Christ should be believed according to scripture testimony ? Im sure Paul was able to tell the Jailor who exactly Jesus Christ is, for it says that they spake unto him the word of the Lord Vs 32

32 ;And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. Acts 16:32

So maybe you need to be serious now and explain to us the word of the Lord, what you would tell someone who asked you what shall I do to be saved. We waiting

You are trying to take something simple and make it complicated. You seem to be suggesting that someone should have all their Christology in order before they can be saved.

He died for our sin and rose from the dead so that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. That's the Gospel in a nutshell. If you believe that and trust Jesus to be your Saviour, you are saved. Whether you understand everything that is said about Him is irrelevant. Knowledge and understanding will come in time if you are diligent and study the word.

Never fails to amaze me how you cry salvation is all of God and none of us except suddenly now salvation is dependent on how good a witness we give. Oh the hypocrisy.

Maybe you're the one who needs to get serious and trust the Lord that He knows what He is doing with people.

Yeah, when they believe. What? You think God saves unbelievers?

Are you not the person who claimed that regeneration and salvation are not the same?

Still waiting for you to answer my question.
Regeneration makes one alive. It leads to salvation. Ezekiel 36:26-27 is regeneration. Salvation always follows when someone is given a new heart and spirit, and the indwelling Spirit.

Can he rightfully call himself a Christian? It sounds more cultish to me. In a way it's scary. 🤯

It is indeed a sinister doctrine on so many levels.

One being, God holding people accountable for something they can not do,

Of course this "total inability" is not supported in scripture, unless one performs eisegesis on the text.

It is disturbing how this "system" has made such inroads into mainline evangelical Christianity.

God does not put His Spirit in a person until the person has exercised personal faith in saving work of Christ Jesus.

Obliviously uniquely awakened/illuminated aka regeneration before faith.

Not found in scripture.

You have a verse that says when God puts His Spirit into an individual and gives them a new heart and spirit?

I never denied that Jesus or others didn't call people to believe. Can you show a post where I do so?
Where is your caveat? Be honest and use it.......Jesus will only force/make a special elect person believe. It(salvation) is only for a special elect of forced/sovereign belief.
What do you suppose someone who is given a new heart and new spirit, and who receive the indwelling Spirit will do?
Back to the starting line....Where we NEVER get to leave.

Why do suppose some where given a new creation?.......Acts 16:31. BELIEVE in the Lord Jesus And you will be saved....

Freewill is not in your vocabulary. And freewill is never a part of "who is given a new heart and new Spirit."

You are a smart man, and you constantly skip this part of the starting line......So you are offended by those of us who have paid attention.

Your questions are always from a false premise on this subject.......Freewill is real, your questions are false because you don't believe in freewill.

You dont know what you talking about.
rogerg said God told Rebekah that He hated Esau before Esau was born ... and you agree with rogerg.

you and rogerg do not believe Romans 9:12

Romans 9:9-12

9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son.

10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;

11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth; )

12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

so sad you cannot let go of your error ... you'd rather rip verse 12 out of Scripture rather than believe that God told Rebekah "The elder shall serve the younger" before they were born.

I don't believe God forces anyone to believe. I do believe God enables people to believe.

I'm not offended by anyone. I'm not even amazed anymore by people here. It is what it is.

The Bible teaches both that God is sovereign and that no will is free. The will is always impacted by the nature of the entity. That's why cats don't bark.

Not that anything besides Rom 911 is needed because it clearly states God's point of view - and by your saying it doesn't, doesn't make it so, far from it
Please provide the post submitted by me where I said what you claim.

but does demonstrate your lack of knowledge of the Bible, and I have to say, extremely arrogant of you to believe you can unilaterally discard verses from the Bible that you don't like.
awww hahahahahahahahaha!!!

You're the one who rips Romans 9:12 from Scripture.

Quit projecting your own actions onto me.

Anyway, read the below, apparently you either didn't read or didn't understand them. They are a restatement and confirmation that Romans 9:11 means exactly what it clearly, and plainly, states.
And what God said to Rebekah before Esau was born "means exactly what it clearly, and plainly, states".

I am not hopeful, however, that you will be able to correctly comprehend them even though they are right in front of you and as clear as they can be, but given that you and HeIsHere do not correctly comprehend 9:11 & 9:13 that they all go together as God's single doctrine, you probably won't comprehend these either.
There you go again ... absolutely no acknowledgment of verse 12 ... you so silly!!!

[Rom 9:20-24 KJV]
20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed [it], Why hast thou made me thus?
21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
22 [What] if God, willing to shew [his] wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
God sure is enduring your nonsense as you do not acknowledge the fullness of Scripture ... very longsuffering toward you in your continued obstinate rebellion in removing verse 12 from the context.

Below, you eliminate ALL of Romans chapter 9 from consideration. Last I checked Romans 9:11 is part of Romans 9.

"rogerg need to provide Scripture other than Romans 9 to support your assertion because Romans 9:12 does not support your claim."

after which, I said

"Not that anything besides Rom 911 is needed because it clearly states God's point of view - and by your saying it doesn't, doesn't make it so,"

Henceforth, quit posting me and I will do likewise for you.

You are just so judgmental.
So r u, You need to learn the doctrine of Christ so when someone ask you who is Jesus Christ from scripture and exactly what did He accomplish and for whom, you can give some scriptural details. 2 Jn 1:9

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

Because you appear clueless now
