The reformed/calvies see no power in the word of God..........Natural man always trumps The word of God. Natural man is all powerful in his natural state. The word of God has no power against this Soveriegn power of mankind.

Its not a lie, for all practical purposes, by nature we are the children of disobedience or unbelief Eph 2:2-3
And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
Disobedience here is also unbelief, same greek word used here Rom 11 32
For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
While being dead in sin, unquickened, we abide in unbelief, its our nature, a consequence of the fall in Adam. You cant stop being what you are by nature, can a leopard change its spots ?
You can call it what you will, while unregenerate, we are and can only be unbelievers. Children of unbelief. OT says Deut 32:20

There is no power ability in the unregenerate person. The will worshiper sees power in the exercise of their mighty freewill.

Those controlled by the flesh cannot please God.
