Oooooookay... You are enjoying being angry too much to listen to any explanation I might give.

Have fun being angry, and also bless your heart.
Oh please. Apparently I'm not the only one that took it that way and thought you were serious. If it was a joke, it was very dry and very dry usually does not translate well to text format. You have 30,000+ posts on the forums i dont know what your "title" of "Folksy yet erudite" means but you obviously are a large representative of this forum. I would have thought someone that prevalaent on the forums would want first impressions for new memebers here to be somewhat more positive.

Lol, i know what that means. You might as well have the crappiest smile on your face when you tell me to "have a nice day". You have fun catching your mice and then blaming other people for the problems

Mice? Eww, I'm not THAT folksy. I leave mice for the poor lynx to deal with. It takes way, way, way too many of them to fill a skillet. Just not worth it at all.

All this over one single person you met on an open forum? What a pity, what a pity.

You can't just... Oh, say... Put me on ignore or something?
You don't care anyway and I got no skin in the game. Sure, I could do all kinds of things. I got nothing invested here. This is just some random website off of Google. You being one of the most prolific people on the site does not help. I'm sure you got all kinds of buddies here. I tried to send you a direct message all private like before i responded to you originally but apparently i have to pay money. You know what, I'm going to take you up on that offer and put you on ignore and still leave the forums. I hope you have a great day!

don't worry i requested a deletion/deactivation of my account

 Well, even though it still says "New Member" you have had your account since 2022.
So you've had the (apparently inactive) account nearly 4 years, but want to have a deletion of it now over a misunderstanding with 1 member, (1 out of thousands)? That seems kind of strange.

This guy reminds me of my school bus driver back when I was in 8th grade several years ago.

That was Sam running late with chains and a bus load of kids.
Sam was on an icy back road on the way to school. A drop off of around 40-50 feet on the left and no guard rails. The bus was sliding and dropped into the ditch on the right . It tipped over, the girls screemed. It landed on it's side against the upgrade hill. Sam told us boys to get out of the bus and push it back onto the road. None of us wanted to go to school that day but we didn't think twice. We somehow with our puny might combined slid it back upright and out of the ditch.

Years ago, when my kids were little, we were at the grocery store. One of them pointed at a stranger in the checkout line and asked loudly: “Mom, why does she have so many groceries but no kids to help her?”
The entire line went silent. The woman looked at me. I looked at the conveyor belt like it was my only remaining friend. And in that moment, I seriously considered becoming invisible.

Howdy and welcome to the forum.

I remember this one guy telling about he and his son standing in line at the grocery store right behind a very... Um... Healthy woman. Suddenly somebody went through the front door and tripped the shoplifting scanner, which started it beeping. The son yelled, look out dad, she's backing up!

This is something that happened to me back when I was about 18–19 years old and it still makes me cringe a little (okay and laugh) when I think about it.

It was a winter evening, snowy and cold and I had evening classes. My older brother had promised to pick me up afterward. I stepped outside after class, tired, hungry and slightly irritated already and noticed he was late. Not a great combination for my mood.

After a while, I spotted a dark Volkswagen Passat by the roadside and thought, “Finally.” I walked straight up, opened the back door, threw my backpack inside and immediately started venting without pause, how hungry I was, how tired I was and how we really needed to leave right now.

I got into the front seat, kept going for a moment and finished with something like, “Let’s go already so we can get out of here.”

Then I heard a chuckle from beside me… which was not my brother’s voice.

Silence.

It took about half a second for my brain to fully process that I had just stormed into a complete stranger’s car and started giving them a lecture.

I froze like a deer in headlights, then basically launched myself out of the car.

At the same time, my brother called out from the car right next to it saying he was there.

As if that wasn’t enough, the actual driver of the Passat leaned out and said loudly that I had left my backpack on his back seat.

Of course I had.

I went back, retrieved it, muttered an apology and finally got into my brother’s car, who had, of course, witnessed the whole thing and was already laughing.

All I could say was: “We are never talking about this again.”

And to this day… we mostly don’t. 😅 😂

Just a fyi, when I first signed on in 2018 I made a what I thought was an innocent comment, pro some socialized program . I got hit like a ton of bricks accusing me of being a Commie, Socialist & possibly a Nazi. I said 'gee this reaction is like I said' God is dead or something'. Someone actually said 'no it's worse'🤣. I said something like 'wow I thought a 'Christian' site would show more kindness and got a lecture on Socialism. Leaving wasn't an option as I just had a gal doggie of mine go to Heaven and this, possibly even the jabs, kept me going, lol. That was 8 yrs ago and some of those same members are now friends.
This is a cool place to hang out and just go to the BDF if you think everyone here gets along like angels, lol. God bless🙏💕💕

I have a theory about that...

There's this one guy who has a history of flipping out about random stuff, storming away, then coming back under another nick. My theory is he is not ready to abandon his current primary account, so he brought up this old account he registered a few years ago and used it as a burner account to blow off some steam without throwing shade on his primary account.

Of course I could be wrong. But that sure is what it feels like.
