Can't find it in my heart to forgive...

I do not think you need think of it as forgiving others, but of not taking on the work that is only for the Lord of judging others. We are to judge what is sinful and what is not but we are to freely allow all others to make their own choices and let the Lord handle the result of those choices made.

Wow Blik - that's a great point. It's not the act of unforgiving that we're doing, it's the act of judgment. You are so right - I've been seriously judging and condemning those who have wronged me!

Forgiveness is not optional. It's mandatory. But how? This article is quite long, but the best I've ever come across about forgiveness:

forgiveness takes time. its different for everyone. Take time. Sit Still concentrate on God. God says be still and know. Don't condemn yourself. Be still and pray. Breathe. you will get through this. Why do you feel you will lose salvation when that is because of what Jesus did on the cross. Its about Him not you. God loves you. be still and know that God is with you. give yourself time to grieve you do not have to be Jesus but be willing to work this through. Forgiveness is for you. Its not going away and you will when you are ready.
