Do you really know who IS called that? "Ishtar, who was now worshipped as the "Mother of God and Queen of Heaven..."
If God who is King existed from the beginning and Mary who was a human is now made queen that would mean she had to have married God when she went to heaven. Thats perverse!

Well, based on personal experience, I have yet to see a non-Catholic Christian challenge another's non-Catholic Christian's beliefs. So far, all the criticism is directed toward the Catholic church and only the Catholic church. Please direct my attention to a thread or website if I'm wrong.
Please make known your interpretation of this bible verse in regards to Purgatory.

Fine. I apologize for my rash words. It's depressing to argue against so many at once.Your insult was worse than mine.

I have to respectfully say, I am well studied in the Scripture first and foremost, but also well studied in most of the religions in the world, the Catholic Church is Mystery Babylon spoken of in Rev 17.

Hey taylor just real quick on your verses showing we go to heaven and hell right away, you take them out of context. So first with the Gen. section about enoch, it doesn't say he went to heaven. Him walking with God means he lived a Godly life. The same is said like 2 or 3 verses prior and is not talking at all about heaven, rather a about enoch and how he lived. It doesn't say where he took him.
With the whirlwind taking to heaven, remember heaven can also be the sky so this person could have also simply been flung into the sky by a storm. Also he is mentioned later in the bible being still on earth which supports this.
Finally with the Acts, he wasn't dead when he saw this stuff. If the person who stated we don't go to heaven/hell right away believes what I think he does, this vision still fits because the person would have no concious for a while and the first thing they'd see is the kingdom after they awake from their sleep.
I'm not saying if this person is right or not, simply saying you are taking these sections WAY out of context, and implying what you think is right into them, not taking them for what they say. Also you said you use a lot of the bible to support what you do, but if I tried hard enough I could make Satan seem like a good guy and use scripture to show it. The problem isn't can we use scripture to prove what we believe rather is there any scripture to disprove it as well as some that show it. If there are any that disprove what you believe, then you are in the wrong. Repeated prayers, prayers to the dead, having the pope sit on a thrown of Godliness, and things such as that are against scripture.
I do understand how it sounds to hear "you are wrong!" but in all honesty you are. Whoever posted the Rev. 17:9 verse about the city of 7 hills nailed it. Catholicism originated in Rome, and Rome is the city of 7 hills, which is where the harlot is.

i am a christian i go to a non denom church and mass i believe you can pray(word means to ask) to the saints asking them to pray to Christ for you. i pray the rosery and the our Father and recite the creeds. xtian7 brother i know right where you are coming from love and peace
