While I was at church today I just wasn't feeling the Holy Spirit move through me as we were singing and worshipping. It just seemed like I was going through the motions. I've been going through a lot recently and each day just seems to be getting worse. I've turned to God and asked Him to help lead me through my struggles but I still feel like I'm just slowly moving through everything. I don't feel Him at all. How do I get over this? I've read my Bible and it hasn't really worked either. So I'm not sure throwing a verse will solve anything.

Do not panic we all go threw times like these. Sometimes we grow bored we do the same things and even worship the same way every time. Maybe its your church and the lesson was not what you needing to hear so you mentally blocked it out. If life has been putting you threw a lot then this could also affect you spiritually. Your mind may not of been in church.

Pray over your problems start where the problem begins. You are thinking the problem is you at church when it seems like it your problems in life. Focus on fixing your problems in life with Gods word and pray for help. You will get your desire back in time. Stay in faith and God will guide you. Get out and humble your heart. Volunteer for charity or give back in some way. This will help fill you with love and the spirit. Pray for the renewal of your holy spirit. Have faith God always comes threw! Our God is bigger than anything earthly.
 
It's not a church problem. It's just problems that have been ensuing for a few months and it keeps growing. As each day passes the emptier I feel. Trying to put on a smile and help others with their struggles but at the same time the pain is just growing in me.
 
Have you handed over your problem to God? You are bottling up your pain and not venting in a healthy way. You must release it to God.
 
Have you spent time with God alone? In a place with no distraction and just focusing all of your full attention on him alone? You don't always have to have a feeling... It's about your devotion. A guy was saved at a christian event and he was madly in love with God, however, after the event he could not feel the Holy Spirit anymore. Nothing he tried worked... But regardless, he read the bible everyday and prayed every single day. He attended all the church events and bible studies etc. After one year he finally had another encounter with the Holy Spirit again!

I think God let's us feel like this sometimes so that we remember what it's like without him... And sometimes to see and test our faith and to increase our trust to go beyond a feeling and form a strong foundation. And sometimes we have to show him that he has our full devotion... Maybe that's what he's asking you... How much do you desire me? How much do you want to know me? Would you seek me even if those fluttery feelings go away?
