Cause Me to be Holy

Before You, I like Adam ran from you
Your gentle Shepards heart called me too

Glowing brighter is your life in me, called by your name
Still, Your blinding holiness causes me to be ashamed

Heal my heart in all ways, cause me to be holy, that I may see anew

Remove any faint veil that obscures the vision of you

Remove all sin’s stain that in me would cause you pain

And fill me with your radiance of your eternal love, Holy is your name

Deter and squelch the evil one that wants to take me away

For my heart is set on You the One that gives life that stays

How can I please you Lord? What can I do?

My heart wants to return the love from you

Let me worship and praise you!

And in Your work in thanksgiving do!

I am drawn by your love oh Lord, all of its pleasure
You love me so greatly and your company is vast treasure

What can I want of material things that could outdo,
All I want is the pleasure of You

Those who are born again are already holy and righteous. Why? Because Jesus is holy and righteous. When Jesus died, so did we. All that is of Adam has been nailed to the cross. Lord Jesus took the burden of sin, but there is much more to receive. He also took the burden of self. Jesus died for sin, but more, for the sinner.

You are a new creation in Christ. You have no need to be ashamed.

'"as it is written: "See, I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense; and the one who believes in Him will never be put to shame."' (Romans 9:3)

"…I sought the LORD, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to Him are radiant with joy; their faces shall never be ashamed." (Psalm 34: 4 & 5)

It is good, even essential, to realise that we are sinners. Otherwise we will not seek to be saved. But we should also come to the resurrection side of the cross, to live in victory over sin, self, Satan and the world. Christ is the life of the born again believer. When He is doing the living, we will know victory. If we still strive, we will fail.

Very good you do that and have that complete victory, and bold too, better than John:

Revelation 1:17 NLT
When I saw him, I fell at his feet as if I were dead. But he laid his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last.

I wont do much better than John who apparently didn’t have complete victory either…..and was fearful

We were saved but we are still being saved. Otherwise why would Paulbe afraid to loose his sanvation?

1 Corinthians 9:27 KJV
but I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Enter the narrow gate! Always check your conscience…

….,And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; [6] And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; [7] And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

I fall short on all of some of all of these….why would I not be ashamed in the presence of the Perfect One
