PennEd, as much as I would like to believe your reports, you have only two sources, and disreputable ones at that.

Good scholarship demands that you find these news reports from journals or sources that have a good reputation, and can be investigated or researched. Plus, true research requires a variety of sources, not just one, with another questionable website throw in for good (bad?) measure.

As your first source so plainly states:

"Weasel Zippers, scouring the bottom of the internet."

What kind of source is that? A bunch of disaffected weirdos.

I find Drett to be very respectful of our beliefs and interacts with more Christ-like behaviour than a lot of Christians in this forum. I find it reprehensible, that a lost person (by Christian standards) comes on here, behaves appropriately is constantly slammed by Christians who should be loving and sharing the gospel. Do you really think your actions would win anyone to Christ, let alone a Muslim who has more appropriate behaviour than most of you?

The fact is, we live in a fallen world. People from all religions persecute each other. People with no religion persecute each other. While I fundamentally disagree with the conclusions of the Muslim religion, I believe Jesus came because we live in a fallen world, and to save us from that. My prayer is that our witness to the lost in this forum would win them to Christ, not alienate them from him forever.

Please try and act like you are following Jesus, instead of slamming people like the popular media does.

And use some sources for all your stories that have some degree of character, please!

Sorry Angela, NOT going there. And by there I mean this nonsense that Islam is a religion of peace, and ALL extremists of EVERY religion behead, rape little girls, and torture and terrorize men, women and children.

The stories I posted are from sites that GATHER news from around the world. The "mainstream media" refuse to report on these atrocities BECAUSE they are committed by Muslims. For instance, here is the Boko Harem Islamist story I posted by several other news sources. If you choose not to believe that these DAILY horrors take place by Muslims, that's up to you. Do your OWN research on each and every news story I posted. YOU will come to the same conclusion. Even places like CNN slip up some times and report the truth.

There is truth in what you said but i suspect that surrounding a crowd of refugees and shouting “we’re going to kill you all.” is a bit more than disagreement. It would seem to be acting in the manner of those we condemn as murderers and terrorists. We are followers of Christ, should we copy the actions of the very ones we condemn. what's next? will we return to burning heretics and unbelievers? is it showing love to murder our enemies or simply referring the issue to a higher court?

Is myself or anybody else condoning that behavior? Please point out where I even slightly insinuated that. My point is the amount of Islamic terror acts, are so horrific and prolific, that they dwarf to such a degree the un-Christian acts, or any other group, that it is absurd to try and make the claim that ALL religions and their extremists do this kind of stuff.

It's not about condoning any behaviour or pointing fingers at different religions.

It's about the failure of us Christians to address the wrong that is in front of us. Until, Angela and OlderNotTheWiser, it's disturbing that none of the so-called 'saints' have condemned the mob attack.

Just because an act of violence was committed, maybe plentiful times by others, does this mean that a one-off incident of violence committed by our side is justified?

So what if the media publicizes the bad news. It is bad news.

And what's even more bad news is the way that some Christians represent themselves to the world. Not just in Central Africa, but the internet.

About the News - It's wrong. Christians, or those who claim to follow Christ and yet threaten others, are against the precepts and examples set by our savior Jesus himself.

Whatever be the imbroglio between the people of CAR, even as people of different faith, no such act of violence makes sense.

People are so ignorant of the long term global agenda of Islam. Further it is politically incorrect to point this out, being called a right wing racist when the issue is raised, just look at the flack PennEd is receiving from just pointing out the truth.

Certainly not all Muslims are "evil", but that is not to mean that Islam isn't either. Gaddaffi came out with a statement saying that Europe could not be taken by force, but instead it will be conquered by peaceful means. We are seeing the beginings of this in all European countries.

The Western culture has no idea of population wars, its not in our culture, but rest of world understands it. Russia even understood it, produce more offspring than your enemies. So we now see Islamic populations rise in European countries. IN UK, the Muslim population is only about 7%, yet last year more children were born to that group compared to White British non-muslims.


Once Islamic populations reach about 40% mark, we see an increase in violence and ethnic cleansing, this is happening today in UK city of Bradford, half the city is now nearly 100% Islamic, non-muslims are continually leaving that part of the city due to the harassment and threats they receive.

On a national level, we only have to look at Sudan, the religious element has always been ignored by the media. For years the Mulsims in the north drove out all the non-muslims, herding many into Darfur refugee camp, where they were continually attacked , raped and murdered by the Islamic militia. The result of this is that the Muslims have managed to carve a new Islamic nation of Northern Sudan for themselves, leaving all the Christians and non-muslims a dust bowl of a much poorer nation in Southern SUdan.

We are now seeing the same thing happen in Nigeria. Yes, the groups behind this are declared to be "terrorist" but of course that is a smoke screen, Islam can not take over nations by force simply by conventional armies, terrorism is the way of today, all the Muslim politicians and leaders can sit back and blame the terrorists, while secretly looking forward to the time when the terrorists achieve the goal of ridding the land of any one who is not a Muslim, be that through forcing people out or murdering them.

It is time the West woke up and we stopped pandering to the liberal do-gooders, political correctness and removing the fear of causing offence to Muslims.

Angela, the sources may be from unusual unconventional websites, but that does not mean to say its valid. If you want to see what is going on in the world, then one reliable source you crave is from OpenDoors. They report on what is considered to be persecution of Christians. There are plenty of reports on there relating to Nigeria. They also give their source information.

The attackers surrounded the village around 21:30pm in trucks and motorcycles, dressed in uniform. They separated the Christians from the Muslims before killing them. Some were shot while others had their throats slit. After looting several businesses, the assailants made off into the wilderness.

There are a ton of stories about the atrocities done against Israel.

How many do you hear? Yep, you got it, you hear about Israel's response.

I do not understand why we are so afraid of islam. Clearly some are.

Given what Islam is, Muslims who have no interest in converting away from it should be repatriated to one of the wholly Islamic nations. We have trade agreements with almost all of them and it would be a simple thing to arrange. It's both in their best interest and the best interests of non-Islamic countries.

I definitely don't support Islam.

Islam is a religion such that even its own followers don't know the tenets. It's oppressive and violent in itself, and doesn't promote forgiveness or love.

It oppresses women and terrorizes anyone that doesn't accept it.
It's definitely not a religion of peace that world leaders would like us to believe.

Our Lord showed us love and asked us to love one another. And so, I do not wish any violence upon anyone, even if they themselves are violent.

It's also what the military of the Caliphate said when they attacked Christian cities during the expansion of the caliphate. Pay Jizya and be humiliated daily, become Muslim, or be excuted.

I don't really like these kinds of threads, but to be honest, you seem to be missing the point.
