Well the reboot was a bust.... However, every good plan starts with a single action. I have been giving this some thought and here are those thoughts.

Many years ago I basically challenged God to help me loose weight saying if He thought He could do a good job then so be it. Guess what God took the challenge and I did loose weight. So I tried to remember what it was about that and why it worked and came to this conclusion. I let God take control or at that time I challenged Him to take control and He did showing me that when He is in control all things are possible.

Which brings me to the here and now. While I am not challenging God this time in my weight loss. I am asking Him to please take control of this problem area in my life and help me to overcome this sin that has tried to control my life for so many years.

So my plan is to get through the holidays and be more aware of what I am putting in my mouth. Talking to God more about it and allowing Him to help me make the right choices. I have got to let Him take control again as I have done a terrible job with my body temple and need help before it gets beyond being helped.

Well 2018 is going to be a better year in more ways than one as there are a few things I need to let God be in control of and I thank and praise Him already for the help I know is available to me through Him. Will be reporting back as this is my accountability area to do so.

Fantastic that you refuse to give up! Obviously if you think being overweight and eating foods that aren't particularly good for you is a sin then it is.

But I wouldn't categorize gluttony in that way. I have seen very thin people eat more food in a single setting then I could in 2 days.( I know, those people are to be hated! lol)

I'd be willing to wager you are not consuming vast quantities of food while seeing your neighbor go hungry. That would be my definition of gluttony. MOST Americans are overweight and MANY Christians as well, and they should get healthy.

But try not to be so hard on yourself. God has already given you the power to achieve your goals. Just access that power. Be Blessed.
