He is a man that has a love for God, Matthew 22:37

A man that not only knows about God but one that actually loves and wants to serve Him. He is a man after God's own heart. He will read God's word and pray for God's before he acts or makes decisions. He will obey God's word. Obey the Gospel and be faithful. One cannot be "godly" and not obey the Gospel He will defend the word of God, Jude 3 He will love his enemies,Matthew 5:44-46 He will love his wife as his own body, Ephesians 5:28 He will love his children. He will love his parents and neighbor.

Wise words from a lovely young sister in Christ. It appears that the next generation is not as clueless as some would like us to believe. :)

Sorry...the word was used in a different post...but either way...my bad...sorry for posting in wrong post...but still curious.

I would like to add some things to your list here. A man (or woman) of God considers others greater than himself, realizes that God is in control and that the challenges we face in this life are blessings which teach us to trust and become like our Father (loving to all, especially those who don't deserve it), does not seek to preserve his life in the face of persecution, is not swayed by any circumstance which is seen by the eyes because we know that the true nature of our reality is unseen.

AND - ,conforms his heart and mind to Christ producing the fruits of the Spirit ( love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control) and crucifies his sinful nature - putting and end to the fruits of the flesh (immorality, impurity, sensuality,20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions,21 envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.)

your brother in Christ - Justin
