Scott,
While I'm not a Jahova's Witnesses and do indeed believe that certain parts of their theology is indeed heretical, I feel I must say the following to you. Mind you, I mean no personal disrespect toward you or your beliefs however, you're getting almost as bad as Zone used to be, attempting to show how everyone else is wrong thus insisting that you are right in your beliefs. Granted, you are far better behaved and far more respectful towards others in your approach, I fail to see how what you are doing is of any benefit. It appears to me that all you are accomplishing is pushing people away from you and a belief system that you seem to care deeply about.
The vast majority of us here profess to be Christian from one branch or another and while, we might have our differences concerning various issues, there is one thing that we can all agree on. That is, if the love of God which is the Holy Spirit truly resides in us, then we should also love one another, placing the needs of other before our own. I fail to see how what you are doing is expressing the love of Christ. If anything, it brings division and, on rare occasion, strife. In my honest personal opinion, what you are doing is promoting spiritually barren religiosity.
Now don't get me wrong, I believe that members of the Orthodox Church are every bit as saved as those of us from the Protestant persuasion. The reason I believe this is because I also believe that it is not religion or theology which saves but rather the person of Jesus Christ which saves. I believe that it is a personal relationship, intimacy with Christ, which matures one spiritually and gives them victory over the flesh not dead religious doctrine which resides in the mind but does nothing inside one's heart.
It is my hope and pray that you can understand what I'm trying to say. I am not your enemy nor do I desire to be. However, let us rejoice in the things that we have in common, namely hope and salvation in Jesus Christ, rather than argue over little things that have little bearing on eternity. I do hope to see you in heaven one day and to worship the Almighty together, with all of the saints, throughout all eternity.
Peace and may God's blessings be upon you.
