What do you mean old IRC days? Has the chat changed recently?
 
In the current CC chat client you are not allowed to do a < symbol.

Allow me to clarify. MY old IRC days. I've been an old chat cat for a long time.

That is good enough for me... cause, you see, I live in the middle of a brazilian jungle... so, there's nobody close to me, and I will most likely NEVER actually meet anyone from here in person.... only my fellow indigenous friends... so....
