Perspective check for all of us:
While you're busy concerning yourself with how you measure up to everyone you see (and we all do it on some level)- she/he is better looking, more fit, more spiritual, more financially successful, a better mom/dad- YOU ARE WASTING PRECIOUS MOMENTS.
News flash: there will always be someone "better" than you..in the worldly sense. Even multi gold medal winning Olympians eventually have their records beat.
That is NOT what's important.
Right now your kids could be crying and struggling with something very deep.
Your parents/grandparents could be completely alone and lonely.
Your neighbor could be hurting...desperately hoping for someone to see their pain.
Or on the flipside: there could be someone in your outer circle who loves you soo deeply but is too shy to let you know, and you're too busy comparing and judging yourself against others that you aren't even aware.
Or there's a neighbor kid who looks up to you as a positive mentor...
Ohh we trap ourselves so good in our own snares, don't we?
Wake up my friends...no more comparing and judging...
There is positive work to be done while you're here. Stop the silliness and get to the real business of loving and sharing and helping and guiding
