So, recently Netflix has had every single episode of the original Star Trek, Star Trek: Next Generation, Star Trek: Voyager, and Star Trek: Enterprise.

Needless to say, I was born and raised watching TNG. I'm rewatching every single episode of it, and it brings back so many memories!

Yes, I am a Trekkie by far!

I also saw recently that they (the television industry) have redone the "My Little Ponies" again, along with several weird adaptations of Power Rangers.... /facepalm

Do you have any childhood memories recently brought back from the age from when you were a kid?
 
El was talking about gymnastics in another thread. That brought back some of my favorite memories. :) Gymnastics and dance were about the only two girlie things my mom could get me to do. :)

They are making a TopGun2. That was one of my favorite movies as a kid. Probably always will be.
I'm a Trekkie too. And Star Wars, of course. :)
Disney movies always bring back so many memories: Aladdin, Lion King and The Little Mermaid are favorites

Music from different eras always triggers memories for me:
50s-60s music reminds me of my parents/grandparents singing it and listening to it.
70s music reminds me of great times when my older stepsibs would tolerate me following them around.
Some of the praise music from the late 80s-90s reminds me of wonderful times I spent playing music/singing with my family at church.

Thanks for bringing these things to mind. :) Made me smile to think about them.

One of my friends recently gave me a Power Rangers POG! That was a HUGE game in Miami back in the day. Pogs was so retarded, but my sister and I loved to play it haha!

Yes and they are turning them into hollywood-pop-glamour-teeny trash! I'm talking about the classic old retro songs they did on the tv show Glee.
 
Lol they have had a weird adaption of power rangers ever since power rangers came out. Not to spoil anyones ideas...but the actual ranger scenes(aka) all the stuff in full costumes, is actually footage from a japanese series called super sentai.

I remember someone telling me that a while ago. So I'm not surprised about that! Lol!

Netflix also added Beakmans World. I'm waiting for Bill Nye The Science Guy to be added!
 
I have Hello Kitty screen savers on almost of my tech. And rotate it out with a Strawberry Shortcake. I have a Hello Kitty alarm clock.

I bought a retro Strawberry Shortcake t-shirt the other day. If a man my age can have Iron Man, I can have Strawberry Shortcake.

One of my ex's made fun of me for watching reruns with my son. I told him to go stick his tongue in a light socket to learn the values of electricity and a wet object. It took him a moment to really figure out what I was saying haha!

My mom recently bought Season 1 of Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers and Season 1 of Tale Spin. Talk about one of my favorite shows!!!

I loooved Power Rangers! I was always the pink one when fighting(playing) with a cousin :) (she was the yellow one) .
And yes, the other day I was talking about that with my brother and my sister in law. My brother and I used to watch Pokemon and Dragon Ball( yeah I know, not very girly right?) and they still show it on tv. However now they have like 315353650000 pokemons lol, and I'm not interested in it now.
I watched a lot of TV shows through my childhood but the biggest memories come from nickelodeon. Oh sweet old nickelodeon with Hey Arnold, Blue's Clues, Bananas in pyjamas, Rugrats, etc. I could've spent the entire day watching nickelodeon and almost forgetting about eating, going to the bathrooom, or everything else not related with those shows:) .
 
I wish they would bring back the show CHiPs. It was a cool show and I always wanted to be like Erik Estrada's character.

YAY!! A thread about childhood memories!! Thanks for starting it Whyllow! I have lotsa memories from childhood, but I will mention one now that is really important to me. I can remember very well and clearly even today one precious memory I had with my grandpa from mom's side. And even though it was just a moment what I remember, I am grateful it is still so vivid in my mind. He passed away when I was very young (2 yrs old). And everyone even today tells me of how much he loved me. We were both in the living room and my mom had cooked me an egg. She cooked one for grandpa too. After I was done with my egg I wanted to have grandpa's too. My mom was strongly telling him not to give me his but he - without any hesitation at all and with lotsa love and all smiling and all - gave me his egg too. I can still remember almost every detail of that memory, where he was sitting and all. And unfortunately that is the only memory I can remember of me and grandpa, so that's why I treasure it always in my heart and mind with love and pride! :)

And Jullianna, gymnastics will always remain one of my favorite childhood-teenage memory of all, too! :)
 
wow hmm childhood memories, alot of uk towns were mining towns in my childood, i used to play in the coal pit in my garden and get really dirty when i was dressed in white haha, holidays to the seaside with my grandparents , playing on the beach, abba, the monkees, scoobydoo, captain caveman,
having to wear eye patches which i really really hated , climbing over the railings of the school opposite me with some friends to skate in the school playground when we wernt supposed to, (yeah i was a rebel haha), the luis palau crusade when i became a chrisitan at 7 , my dad saying jesus wept when we found out my grandad had died when i was 9, getting bullied at school and being called specky four eyes , i could go on but ill stop there haha

I kinda want to keep this positive. I want to be uplifting to people to bring back good things that they remember when they were kids. For me, it was Star Trek. I'd sit with my dad and watch it every week. Then I learned the word "Hell" and asked my mom "Mom, what the hell is this?", "... I don't know dear... why don't you ask your father?" It was priceless. Of course, I was only 5 at the time so I really didn't know. But still!

I also remember watching Beauty and The Beast in theaters with my mom and couldn't understand why she cried when the Beast died. After all, it's just a cartoon! Haha!
 
I watched star trek the next generation alot with my dad. when I was little. I also watch and still do Full House. lol I loved watching alot of Disney shows. My mom introduce me to DCtalk when I was 8 They had just made there 3rd CD when I heard about it and loved it And nonw im a Toby Mac Fan and Tait fan and Newsboys fan lol I still love peter of the newsboys and yeah I think Michael is great at what he is doing :)

I used to watch star trek too when i was a kid, except captain kirk and doctor spock were still in charge. Can't forget miss ohara and zulu, bones, and scotty. Best star trek crew ever IMO! :)
