I guess you're right. An older guy from my church proposed directly to me, I think when I was 18 or so. I didn't 'like' him, and know I was getting married to him, but I asked him to pray about it. We never talked about it again. Two years later, that's last year or so, he got married to a nice lady closer to his age, but I still feel awkward towards the two. I can't even explain the awkwardness, because I didn't even date him. But, I think he felt something for me and he kind of has this aura around him after then that makes me just want to avoid him. So I think it's better to really pray and have a level of certainty that this person is yours before, you know, proposing to them or something.Dating some one from your church is a bit like dating some one that u work with . Seems like a good idea , who knows ? it may work out . If it doesn't ......it can lead to some seriously awkward moments and even cause divisions in those places . We have a very crude saying in the UK , if enough people ask me to repeat it I will but otherwise I shall keep it to myself .
