Howdy and welcome to the forum.Any one here listen to EDM
I can haz link?I do.
Before I was saved I actually used to go to the clubs in Hollywood quite frequently.
After I was saved, God gave me a vision to start creating Christian EDM and thus far I’ve created over 2000 songs in the last year alone using Suno.
I have multiple artist accounts but I just consolidated them into two accounts.
‘Alive to See the Day’ is all Christian music, where as ‘STS1988’ is more of a mix between Christian/personal/the world.
Of course @LynxI can haz link?![]()
Of course. I’ll take a listen to the whole track right now.Not sure about direct links to like personal websites, but if it's a link to like a YouTube video I know that's fine, since the other music threads do this. If you're interested in checking out my deep house/EDM hymns album, here's a link to it:
There are a few songs that are really likable but overall, the mega mix sounds almost like one long song because they are all somewhat similar. At least to some whose that genre might not be the only music they listen to but I thought I can definitely see that at a sober Christian rave, for sure. Not sure about direct links to like personal websites, but if it's a link to like a YouTube video I know that's fine, since the other music threads do this. That makes sense. I get and understand that completely. I would have done the same thing, most likely.Yeah, the primary style is deep house, but I tried to change it up a little bit with some of the songs, but it was intentional to keep it similar to one another since it is on the same album.
I thought you said you deleted them all? Well, that was a while ago, and I cannot remember which one I was so very impressed with, though the images I do recall somewhat: an ever-changing montage of you and Jesus being interchanged among a variety of other people places and things, maybe mostly in club type scenes. That was when I asked about your music, because I thought it was you singing. I loved the voice in that piece, and the whole of it was really quite outstanding. Do you remember which one it was? I would love to hear it again.Of course @Lynxit’s in my profile bio as my “website.”
I’m not sure if I’m allowed to post a link advertising a business, so I guess people will have to just go to my profile on here.
Now, not all over 2000 songs are public yet. I have them in my Suno account but maybe around 400 or so are public. (I’m currently going through all of them again, to see which ones I like and don’t like, which ones are more of a Christian song and which ones are more worldly.)
If I am allowed to post the link here, I will definitely do so.![]()
I'll definitely subscribe to your channels and support you.I thought you said you deleted them all? I took a break from CC in mid December, at which time I started putting poetry I'd written decades ago to music... at first I was just using sites that allowed so many free attempts before you had to sign up and pay, and most did not allow downloads from them, although deevid did, and I actually have one of my creations from them on my YT channel which I created at that time, in fact it is the very first video of my own I ever posted onlineMy YT channel now has I think it is fifteen songs on it, LOL, I am still figuring things out, I also have a soundcloud account and it has 28 songs, but some are dupes/private, because I sometimes do editing as I go along if I think the lyric can be better improved somehow. Soundcloud gives three hours free and YT is unlimited so I am sticking with YT from here on out...
Some songs, especially from the older poetry, took many generations to get a decent song out of because I did not know how to direct the ai (still don't really! It is like herding cats LOL), and also there is an "intuitive" element to it if we can call it that, since ai generators also seem to go by what the words you are wanting them to sing, and so you have to know how to overcome their predisposition to sing certain topics a certain way. Well, you probably know way more about it than I do! And you did inspire me to try it myself.
At least three of my older poetry compositions took more than a hundred generations each before I chose something that I could live with, heh, and even then, for "Cactus Flower" it definitely was not in a genre I would have chosen myself, as after bumping the BPM to 120, it turned into a slasa flavoured Flamenco tune LOL, but that seemed to be the only way to get the ai to "pick up" the tone they kept giving the desert scenery, since it repeatedly sounded like a funeral dirge otherwise, which was not what I wanted at all! The other two that I had great difficulty with were "Games of Youth" and "My Vital Spark." I only finally got "My Vital Spark" to something acceptable very recently, and I had been trying since the beginning, returning to it again and again.
A few of my songs are simply collected Bible verses around a specific theme, but then I began composing new material, and those devotionsl modern praise and worship testimonials are the bulk of what are on my channels now. I was going to say I do not really know what EDM is, but I love the music of Delerium, and they are considered a pioneering act in Electronic Dance Music. I have been listening to them since Semantic Spaces of 1994.
Thank you for the inspiration Sean... Oh! And some of my older poetry I augmented with newer material from
my perspective as a Christian, which I definitely was not when I wrote some of these pieces in the 70s and 80s.
Thank you, Sean. How would YT be more work? Do you use Suno to create your videosI'll definitely subscribe to your channels and support you.
I did delete all of them, but I'm back to it again, I guess lol. I can't help myself, I always go back to it.
I literally laughed out loud when you said "cat herding" lol
I think YouTube is the way to go.
You can also go with a paid distributor like LANDR or a Christian one called Wings Access or Access Wings (forgot how they write it). There is also Distrokid, but I just got banned from them, so I won't be recommending them.
I do look forward to using Youtube though, even if it might be more work, but I think if people like you and I implement AI to help us with our work, it might be even easier.
Remember to watch videos on how to not get banned on youtube though. There are so many ways that YouTube will flag a person.
I'd try to have an easier-to-write username for YouTube, also, that is more recognizable for people to add you. When I saw your username, it looked like a bot made it.Ah, I see now after adding two more videos to my YT channel (one was
to correct a missing letter in the lyrics I provided for the video) that I have
23 videos. This is my latest compositional upload, my first in full 16:9 mode:
Unfortunately it does cut off a bit at the end because it exceeds the 8 minute allowed by generators.
My apologies.
Yes, about that... as is often the case at this late stage of internetI'd try to have an easier-to-write username for YouTube, also, that is more recognizable
for people to add you. When I saw your username, it looked like a bot made it.
Well, when you have a distributor like Distrokid or LANDR, you upload your song, and it goes to over 150+ music streaming services and stores worldwide, including YouTube. All you would have to do is customize each music streaming service's artist pages and just continue to upload music.Thank you, Sean. How would YT be more work? Do you use Suno to create your videos
for you? I just use a simple video making app called Clipchamp, by Microsoft. It is free.
