I decided that I'm no longer going to watch YouTube videos anymore and that I will no longer be using their services.

I recently deleted my Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, X, Snapchat, and more. I find them to be trash and very unhealthy for the mind, so I'm just going to build my own website, on a Christian hosting service, so that a big tech company can't ban me from uploading music, and I can just create freely and do what I want with it, and I don't have to follow a bunch of made-up policies that make it impossible for people like me to earn anything.

With the Suno version 5.5, you can make cover song samples.

I actually made a cover of the song “Be My Lover” the other day, the 90’s club classic from the movie ‘Night at the Roxbury’ starring Will Ferrel and I forget the other guy who is in it.

Anyways, it’s possible.

I was thinking more in terms of making an original song using the phrase Staying Alive

In Christianity one must choose to abide in Christ and live for Him all the days of their lives and not backslide turning away from Him so using the phrase Staying Alive would be applicable to the life of a Christian

I am accepted by Christ just as I am, bro. I'll let the holy spirit in me work on me.

Just because I create one song that is secular doesn't mean I'm backsliding.

What I've known so far about you is that you judge other Christians online when you don't even know what they do to abide in Christ, away from this website.

When you make those judgments, which is using your own knowledge, which we aren't supposed to do according to the bible, you push people away from the lord and not toward Him.

Thank you for that @Magenta

I just feel like I’ve been working and working and working and all I’ve earned since August was a total of only $104 with music.

I got banned from uploading music on distrokid.

I was denied social security disability insurance, even though I was diagnosed with many mental illnesses and take like 8 different prescriptions.

I feel so worn out, that I just want to give up.

I had to start over so many times in the past few years and it’s wearing on me.

I feel like I’m broken.

I cut ties with my men’s Bible study. I even told my pastor that I’m unsubscribing from his church a week ago. He emailed me after but I didn’t read it and threw his email in the trash.

Just been isolating big time.
I spend a lot of time alone also, Sean... but it is mostly by choice, after the chaos of my youth? Eh, kind of nice actually, though there are other issues at play as is often the case: for me they are age related mobility issues, and also COPD, which makes me cautious of being exposed to sick people who will spread their bronchial infections to me. I have had a lung specialist for about a year now. I am sorry to hear you feel you are struggling, but do you love the making of music? You must! You have so much of it that I think developing your own channel for it a good idea, because then you can sort it into genres or by subject matter.

I was on psych meds a couple of times, once following a still birth and then a miscarriage, I did not want to be on drugs at all (well, not those kind LOL) and took myself off them just before getting pregnant with my daughter... so glad I did because as it is she was born at 24 weeks gestation. Another time it was for work related stress: being on an anti-anxiety, which despite assurances from my doc when she put me on Champix to quit smoking was not a good mix. The resultant vertigo took months to go away. Anyways I have seen you mention trying to manage your meds and it sounds like quite a significant onerous undertaking. I am terrible at doing daily maintenance self-care things. All the more reason to be grateful every day for still being on this side of the grass. Many did not survive the lifestyle, and one Christian I knew in NA spent a LOT of his time carrying the message to the addict who still suffered because he wanted to get to them before the devil put them in the ground, as he said. Very honorable...

Anyways... I did a Christian EDM song. I really like it!

Wow! Yeah so I was thinking about a song using the phrase staying alive and was not even thinking of you other then your ability to make songs using your AI stuff. I thought you did Christian songs and thought this might be a cool phrase to work with to encourage others to not back slide because that sort of things does happen with people you know.

Looks like you need to do something about whatever it is in your life you know deep down is not right between you and the Lord that's causing a guilty conscience and causing you to assume I was talking about you when I was just speaking in general terms, or not. Whatever.

"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." -Romans 8:1

The accuser lies. I'm already forgiven and close to God.

OK so you DO have a guilt conscience!

And if you are going to quote Romans 8:1, why don't you quote all of it???

Here's all of Romans 8:1

Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Just so you know, Bro, those walking after the flesh are in fact back under condemnation

Romans 6:1,2
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Anybody that has sin in their life... grace does not cover them living in sin.

Romans 6:16
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Just in case it's ever needed, Here's the fix:

Proverbs 28:13
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

I wonder if my dad will get COPD. He has been smoking since his teens, but he is also very active and still manages to surf all the time, in his 60's....he knee-boards. Sorry about the COPD. I hope they can be able to cure stuff like that with the technology being put out there.

I have multiple artists now. Instead of organizing the songs into playlists, I just organize by artist.

I finally found a nurse practitioner who is working with me to wean off almost all meds. I have been taking around 8 different meds, 5 of them being psych meds....I'm currently weaning off of Vraylar, which I believe caused my AFib to act up in the first place. Then, in 3 weeks, I'll go down to 1.5mg of that and start the weaning process of Benztropine, going from 0.5mg to 0.25mg, that same day that I lower Vraylar. 4 weeks after that is my AFib ablation apointment and on that same day, I'll be off both of those meds. So, then I'll be down to 6 meds total, 4 psych meds, but really 3 since one is as-needed, and I rarely take it. [1 cholesterol med (which I no longer need), 2 blood pressure/heart meds, 2 anti-psychotics, 1 anti-panic attack med, and 2 other supportive psych meds.]

I've noticed that as I've gotten older, daily maintenance self-care has gotten tougher, and even the energy to do things has gotten tougher, but every day is a new day, and life continues to change day by day, it seems.

Nice EDM song by the way!

COPD is a mutation of the lungs... sometimes a medical person will say asthma, but they are two different issues. And the funny thing about it -if it can be called funny at all- is that nobody ever mentioned it as a possible result of smoking, nor was I even told what it was when I was diagnosed with it however many years ago that was. Just, you have COPD. I did not know what it was/the effects of it and how it reduced lung function until not very long ago. And we all know we dodged many other bullets as it were, with all the other drugs we consumed. I was hospitalized a number of times, overdoses, smoke inhalation (that's another story), alcohol poisoning. What good really would knowing there were other dire consequences from smoking? They say COPD is reversible in the early stages, so if your dad starts experiencing any increased difficulty breathing, it would be prudent for him to quit then, if not sooner. Is he a believer? That could make it much easier for him. Smoking is such a terrible addiction.

I know of at least one other person who weaned themselves off psych meds with the help of properly managing their diet. He would say his real problem was alcohol, and for him there may have certainly been a lot of truth in that, though he has decades of sobriety now, and we acknowledge that the drugs and alcohol were merely symptoms of a larger underlying spiritual condition. He was one of the people who used to come to my first 12 step fellowship back in the late eighties. I would say he was instrumental in me deciding to attend the AA fellowship as well, because the clarity of his message was above and beyond the norm. I attended AA for a number of years just to listen, before crying out to God for help, the God I did not believe in, I must add... not to quit mind and mood altering substances, nope, I liked those. Just for the pain to stop. I lost the desire to use within days and began attending NA as well, and CoDa also. NA was home for many years but it is AA I still atend after all this time.

Yes, each day is a new beginning, and we have so much to be grateful for! I went through a lot of my songs last night and picked the thumbnail that displays for them, choosing for each one where it was an option the "Thank You Lord Jesus" I end all my songs with.

That is very clever to genre order your songs by account name. Heh. How many do you have? Well, my YT shows i have 46 videos, but a number of them are dupes (with 9 [?] set to private) from when I took the originals made with audioship stills and turned them into something more to my liking. One song I did three videos for lol, one was a still floral image, one was made with one of my Scripture panels with the lyrics added, and the third a video I got from the clipchamp program, not realizing I'd already redone it. One of the private ones I simply redid with a new song version, my Testimony song (I wrote that poem four years ago for a thread here). The first vid for that song I generated an ai singer who disturbingly grew a phantom third arm a couple of times and did other weird things LOL, plus I decided I liked another version of the same song better, from my second generating site. I did try out other ai singers as well in tests, but decided not to go that route again. They make terrible lip syncers LOL. I had already used an ai generated guy to "sing" one of my song compositions. I found him soewhat amusing the way he gesticualted, and sighed when just standing there, looking lost like he was questioning his own existence.

Next time someone post something you don't like try to refrain from jumping in crying like an infant claiming "You talking about me... I just know you are because you're a big meanie!"

Grow up dude, my goodness. clueless-doh.gif

No accusation can change what Jesus finished.

My dad sadly is not a believer that I know of. I’ve talked to him about God but he said he will never believe in God, so I gave up with him. I may try again later or God will come to him, somehow.

I think I noticed the thank you Jesus on a front cover thumbnail on one of your songs but I’m not sure if I remember seeing it at the end of the songs. You must have just added it?

I have over 2000 I think on Suno, that I generated from nonstop ideas, since February of last year. It seems like every time they release a new version of Suno, I would delete a lot of the songs I uploaded. https://www.thenarrowgaterecordlabel.com has all of my artists on there, and it’s all organized.

lol I’ll check out the AI guy

This is definitely a great start. I haven’t even tried this yet. It’s pretty awesome.
Thanks Sean. LOL. I find him amusing, and there were a selection of singers to choose from, male and female types like a blue haired punk guy, a Sequin Princess, Jazz Queen Ruby etc... the guy I chose was called Rock Thunder (Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Classic Rock), and the woman I opted for was called Dark Sovereign (Gothic Metal, Dark Rock, Industrial); there were a number of other human singers as well as an assortment of animals, like Mr Cat (Acoustic Rock, Folk); Mr Frog (Pop, Winter Folk, Meme Music); Arctic Penguin (Children Pop, Winter Folk, Holiday Music); a bee, a pig, etc. And even a starry starry night Vincent van Gogh. Ha. I tested him out. A test cost 10 credits, and a two minute segment 48 credits (maximum length allowed means stitching segments together later), which was one reason to choose songs under four minutes, which most of mine are not. What is winter pop? Never heard of it before. Heh. Anyways, that is on yestool, which was my original generating site I signed up for after burning through a slew of free sites (five songs each, most were not very good except for Deevid, which did allow a download from the freebie. That is where my Spider version is from, and I may have been mistaken about not adding anything to it because the ending does sound like I added some ohs and whatnot. Unfortunately there is a story there about losing all the info on my portable HD where my records were, that is where the lyric sheet would have been if I had one, of course I have the original poem but it did not have all the extra vocalizations at the end. I have taken the drive in to Best Buy and they have sent it off to see if my files can be recovered. Fortunately I did have a lot of just the songs downloaded to both the drive and my laptop, and of course they do still all exist on the generating site, where I have returned multiple times to see what is there and to download the WAV file now if I am going to upload to YT.)

No worries about not responding earlier, as I was busy at work and I do hope you are feeling better now...

PS~ I have been putting Thank You Lord Jesus at the end of my songs (in text) for a while now... :)

Well, I’m sure we’ll both be learning a lot about this stuff in our unique journeys.

I must have not completely finished listening to an entire song (forgive me!), I do like a lot of your songs though, and your videos. You’re videos will probably just get better over time, as technology advances.
