Pat Robertson did make a statement along those lines. He said, "The Constitution of the United States, for instance, is a marvelous document for self-government by the Christian people. But the minute you turn the document into the hands of non-Christian people and atheistic people they can use it to destroy the very foundation of our society."
I think you make some really good points here.
We often hear, "Christians shouldn't impose morals through legislation."
But ALL LAWS are an imposition of SOMEONE'S morals... through legislation.
All laws are an act of some party imposing their morals upon society.... that's what laws are.
So what about Christian Nationalism?
First we have to define it, and everyone has a different definition.
It's a pretty ambiguous term, that can mean just about anything, and is predominantly just used to smear people.
So how do I feel about Christian Nationalism?
That depends on your definition.
Primarily... I don't really think about it at all.

Yes, this is why I was asking for a church or pastor who had shared this, I am not interested in what Politicians might be using religion to manipulate voters. That is not Christian Nationalism, that is merely lying politicians.
I don't doubt somewhere out there you can find someone, but is it a denomination? Or is it some obscure church with a nutty pastor and 100 members?

A nationalist is somone that loves there country promotes there country over others While a Christian is a follower of Christ. I think MAGA can be defined as Christian nationalist. Well are some of those pastors are out there but for majority the pastors are peaching not teaching politics.
1.) I think few people define "Christian Nationalist" as being equivalent to "Christian" + "Nationalist." As a compound term "Christian Nationalist" tends to be used in a unique way and with unique attributes. So you have every right to hold to that definition, but I don't think it fits the definition most people have. (Many people don't even hold to such a polite and benign view of the world "nationalist.") Overall, the term Christian Nationalist truly has many different definitions in different groups of people... it's why I never use the word unless forced by the conversation.
2.) More importantly, I would not define MAGA as Christian Nationalist, as I don't believe the majority are Christian. I wouldn't conflate these two things, and I think we could probably make an objective case that although the MAGA movement contains many Christians, it is not a Christian movement.
(If we ask whether it has more biblically based principles than the other party, we would answer yes. But if we ask if the majority of the members are genuine Christians in the Biblical sense of the word... I think we'd have to answer no.)
Finally, I'm not mad at you about anything... just sharing some thoughts.

MAGA is a party that has its roots in the tea party. They are a populist movement with a big tent that includes much more than conservative Christians. It is not a Christian organization, it is a political party that appeals to Christians as well as conservatives, right wing, etc. You can define MAGA has having a nationalist agenda, that is what Make America Great Again means. But that is not a Christian agenda. They are not out preaching the gospel, or looking for the coming of the Lord.

We're all on a ship steered by a little rudder, and pirates. We have a map but have to set the course to get where we need to be. I think this is what is meant by 'the kingdom is within you.' We're not going to get anywhere by letting everyone take turns steering their own course.

Nationalism is kind of dumb anyway. It's like. Congratulations on being from a place
I don't think nationalism is dumb my friend.
As maxwell said, this word means a lot of things to a lot of people but in its simplicity, nationalism is about protecting your house and your way of life and your identity and culture.
Of course this simple idea has been distorted by political ideas everywhere but there's nothing wrong with having a strong border, strong immigration checks and being proud of your culture and nation.
Many countries do it and there's nothing wrong with it.
I don't know if you know this but Canada has a much more strict immigration system compared to USA.
If you don't believe me, then try to get into Canada legally to live and work there even as an American citizen.
Short of marrying a Canadian woman or a company sponsoring your visa, it's pretty hard to live and work there legally.
