So, what's ya gonna DO, singles, when the New Year comez fer U ???
I saw Christianlittle's good thread idea, and, as I nod my head like 'yeah,' @$ nods richly did for approval of lilC and her 'New Year' thread and then I read julieannie's good thread about what Paul tells us all to be AT PEACE with everyone else as much as it is up to us, and, 'course, the Lord leads ALL our lives, but, ya know, we all make our own brain decisions? God gave us a brain, right?
So, regarding New Years resolutions, WHAT, can you walk away from that will IMPROVE your life.
Li'lbigC mentioned eating more veggies for her resolution and Jordy mentioned getting weigbt off her body, so....
Look at Scripture to help you understand your New Year resolution being just good, commom, sense.
Daniel did not eat the king's food and Daniel did not get sick while all the king's men who ate the glut of rich, fatty, feasty foods were unhealthy.
This should tell you something.
Proverbs tells us, too, what is the most important thing for a person?
Now, one can argue other things, but, Proverbs tells us 'health' is most important.
So, those who are making 'food' resolutions, be at peace with the fact Scripture lines,up, in at least two different books, with importance of its link to health .
And, keep in mind, too, Jan. 1st is when your new resolution begins, right? So, EAT UP !
You have a solid 3 days to eat all your faves, but, GOOD NEWS, if you are not really wanting to eat foods rich in belly, butt, and, leg proportional gain then you are already well.on your way to keeping your resolution
=============
Whatever you go for doing, just saying, do it with God's word backing you wilk be rich reward and incentive because you will be doing a resolution that God Himself wants us to do.
Like swearing, maybe, you swear a lot. Well, guess what? Scripture is,clear that just taking God's name in vain is not only thing God (Jesus speaks in NT too against swearing).
