Don't feel too bad. I sort of have the same problem. But with me it's women who are only interested in me for what ever they can get. Or just to pass the time until the guy they are really interested in can or will come around. Then it's "Get lots Terry" Of course these days I turn to my cat when I need to talk or want to know that I am cared about
 
This evening I visited a friend of me on the other site of town, so I took my shoes to get me there.
While walking I was a bit talking and questioning and thinking about things with God.

2 years ago, after a marriage of almost 3 years my wife decided to leave me with my daughter for several reasons.

But that's not where I wanted to take you on this. The fact is ( in some kind of ridiculous way, the divorce proses still isn't finished.)
Before we got married we both got a vision ( me) word (she) that God gave his blessing on our marriage. Stupid as we could be to take the wrong choices on several points, made us end up here.
But I believe and WONT let go the fact that God WILL fulfill His promise. But also this is not where I wanted to go, but it will fill the picture better.

While walking I was thinking like:
What IF I will find another women.
I don't want to be looking for HER and I don't want her to be looking for ME.
But I pray that we both will be looking for LOVE!

God is Good is God

Anyway,sounds like you are lookin for that perfect "alpha Male"-try letting God lead you instead of your flesh,You'll have alot more luck
 
Whiteknight........ amen to the cat thing. I turn to my dogs. I rescue horses and dogs and now 2 weeks away from a divorce final hearing date, yet through it all my dogs and horse are my sanity. So they may tear up a stuffed toy, so they may wake me up 30 mins before I want to get up. They are ALWAYS happy to see me, they love me unconditionally, they appreciate any time and attention I give to them, and they just love me, for me. Praise GOD for allowing me the ability to rescue them, though it is more like they rescue me :)

I don't even WANT to think about dating again, quite frankly is scares me. When I am ready GOD will know, and GOD will direct someone my way. I trust in GOD.

This is likely to be true in North America but figues vary considerably from country to country in other continents.

The sexual revolution basically made women able to pick and choose whoever they want, but they go for the alpha males that don't want them back.

Again, I guess you are talking about North America, although things might have been similar elsewhere as well. Honestly I see different consequences here, mostly of sociopolitical nature (legalization of abortion etc.).
 
Paws4Jesus, Your last 2 sentences are EXACTLY HOW I FEEL!!
Even though cats, for some reason, try to come across as stuck up, independant, or whatever you want to call it; they won't hesitate to try and comfort me when I am feeling down or when I'm sick.
And God will provide for my needs, so I don't need to even try and hit the "dating scene" again.

Why not try to show him the way to God? Also I would like to answer to those who wonder how can one be single and content, that it is very important to try and forget about yourself and be of service to others. Having some close relationships with brothers or sisters is also vital. God bless all! :)

I am 31 male no kids, and I am trying to date again. I live in a small town. It is very hard to meet anyone new. I workout like crazy and take care of myself hoping to meet that certain person. I am looking for a certain type of women. Look are important. I have to be attracted to them. They have to have a strong character, and be active. I just can not be with someone I am not attracted to.
