I am a christian but I have been far from church and God for several years, I have recently been attending church and reading my bible more often and want to live for the Lord. I was raised in a baptist church but am now attending a non denomenational that speaks to me every time I go or visit their site. I am married with 1 step son who I hope to adopt in the near future. My husband is willing to go to church with me but not willing to take sinning, that he can help, out of his life or do devotionals with me. We fight over things that have no matter and sometimes he treats me badly when I know I do not deserve that. I just really need some help, thanks for reading.

If your husband is willing to go to church with you, keep going together! You cannot change his heart with anything you say or do, but with God's help, and by exposing him to God's Word and love repeatedly, there's a good chance he will begin to change. It has to be in his own time, without feeling forced, so pray for him and continue in your own walk with the Lord. Women are not to take authority over their husbands, but there's nothing saying that we can't still be an example for them.

Thank you so very much, I just needed a little bit of advice and that was wonderful advice, I really really appreciate your help, it was very helpful!

This is a very Hard issue since i dont konw what Jesus Christ would really want you to do, i could tell you everything will be ok once you start to continue your walk with Jesus Christ and gain more Faith, Continue in Repentance, become more and more filled with the Holy Spirit and doing works of Rightousness and in some Form it will Influence your Husband in a Postive Repentive way, so that he with full of interest and open mindedness will learn from you, but i would not dare to.

What is happening now "i stronly believe" is that Satan is fully Alert and aware of your Repentive Spirit and will try by any means "according what Jesus Christ allows" to gain access in your home or to you, by any persons "including your Husband". You also are not safe from his Temptations or Influence if you do not have the Protection by Jesus Christ that you might gain by Prayer.

I am also aware that i can not say, that as soon as you are full of Light and Holy Spirit, doing works of Rightousness, the Sin in your Husband and the Demonic Influence will then arouse your Huband and Stire him up in Anger, Envy and Hate towards you "because of Jesus Christ in you" that he will show it by Mocking, trying to get control of your Mouth, so that the name Jesus Christ will be less and less Mentioned "for example" or even be Oraly more Abusive.

I dont know if your Marriege has been Sanctified by Jesus Christ, if its Blessed and all Powers and Treasures are both Open for you and your Husband, or if it has not been accepted by Jesus Christ, but he will continue with you in order to "lessen" the Damage that you and your husband have put on yourself.

Its a hard issue, i would suggest to continue your Path, be Prepared for anything from your Husband, but also closely Observe him how he Observes you and your walk, notice every change be it good or bad, being that he is slowly moving away from you or closer. Then while praying for Guidence, and Protection towards you and your family by Dark Influences...bring all your Findings of your Husband to Jesus Christ and ask for Wisdom, Understanding, Strenght and anything else that will be needed.

You have not mentioned if he is a Christian...but it seems like if he wasnt you would of mentioned it, also i would suggest you to look for an Author named Ellen G. White...and her site Whitesstate...there you see a small image on the right side with egwwritings, click on that image then the globe with the open book, there you will find great resources for Godly Family Living with or without children.

I am single but can clearly see that its a Treasure for Singles, Relationship and Married with or without Children.
