It was simple for me to answer. I was born here. I was saved by Christ from these anti-christs around me, they all hate Jesus. They call him a b*stard, did you know that?
My delieverance from this den of serpents, as Jesus refers to them, is a tremendous testimony. Not many receive Christ from here. I was divorced, disowned and beaten by my family who hates Jesus.
And yes, they are terrorists in their further wickedness in their war crimes against others.

Now... for the astute, does that sound like a country to be supporting spiritually, financially, religiously in ANY WAY?

These are the simple things that came to mind in this OP, they are obvious, so I posted them. Then I watched the most ungodly demonstration of "Christians" I've seen in a long time.

Madam I do understand the point you are making and I apologise to MsSpratt if I offended her in any way. I know that the Jews are guilty of not accepting Yeshua and that is sad but here in SA we can also see that the Jews are turning to Yeshua slowly but surely.

I also understand that Israel as a country today is not the 12 tribes of Israel as described in the Bible and once you understand that you have to ask the question “where is Israel today?” (Yeshua said he only came for the lost tribes of Israel, right?) That was the most interesting journey I had over the last year of my life and that is why I also believe that I was only saved in 2013 because that is when my eyes were opened by Ruach Hakodesh.

i'm not sure if you are referring to me or another poster. that's quite an allegation (desiring genocide), considering the subject of this thread is International Law and revulsion at the committing of genocide.

...moving on from the convenient Amalek false accusers.....this thread is about crimes of Israelis.

People are people every where does not matter where they live meaning that there are governments that are making decisions and the general population the (regular people) just want the same thing everyone else does which is food in the frig, roof over their heads and someone to love - family the best place to try and get it the love that is.

How many of the regular people really have anything to say about what their government leaders decide to do? Everyone will be judged someday and will have to give an account to God. Please try and stop lumping every single person into what a country decides to do as there are many God loving people that also happen to live in Israel. Just like there may be a few bad decision making people living up in Canada, US or any other country you want to pick on today. This is a planet of sin welcome to planet Earth.

another poster cast a broad net (distraction) about genocide committed by many nations - why not discuss that?

well, for one it would make a rather messy thread, but mainly because enormous numbers of christians have developed theological excuses for Israeli crimes. this is what makes it both interesting and precise. and terribly sad (for me) that The Great God and Savior is used as a crime boss for a nation-state with no theological significance. the individuals are precious, and need saving - the State is another matter.

God bless you for your testimony. not to trivialize it, but it is somewhat typical coming from jews who discover the messiah is Jesus. it's very sad.

I briefly browsed this thread and I admit I'm not totally caught up on the politics and going ons of the middle east but I am kind of confused on why Israel is considered such a sacred cow by Christians today. As far as I'm aware many Jews in Israel don't even believe in a God at all anymore. If they've abandoned God, how can their actions be guided by God or doing God's will? If they are in the wrong, what is so wrong with calling them out on it? Not to say I think the Palestinians are any better or a victim... just that well... Jews are seen as some kind of saintly holy people and I don't really know why.

I understand Jews were the chosen people back in the bible... and I guess they still may be but I really don't see why they would be. It doesn't make much sense to me. The Jews were the chosen ones because that was the line of people from which David, and ultimately, Jesus would descend from. Now that Jesus has come and delivered all of us, why are the Jews any more chosen than any Christians? Is there places in the bible where it states stuff about this after Jesus died and rose again? Cause I don't remember it to be honest.

If Jews still are God's chosen... well they haven't exactly embraced Christ (and if you do you are no longer considered a Jew by the Jewish people) and God has a habit of letting the Jews wander blind in their folly when they turn from God. So if they are still chosen people... he'll raise them up sooner or later. In the mean time, why are we called to be their protectors regardless of what they do? If they do wrong, which isn't a stretch seeing as they aren't walking with God anyway, is it anti-sematic to call them out for doing wrong?

I honestly don't see why they'd be a chosen people anymore anyway. What more do they have to be delivered from? Jesus already delivered them and anyone else. If they have turned their nose up to the truth, how can they be God's people today? Even practicing Jews don't do rituals and sacrifices as instructed in the OT. I know they claim it's because the temple is not there but that makes no sense. People in the bible just built altars where ever they were, they didn't need a temple. The Jews of today are hardly the Jews of the bible from what I can tell. And I can't think of anything biblical post Jesus that elevates Jews above anyone else as a chosen people.

I think God may still have plans for them but maybe they need to screw up bad enough before they realize the truth. No need for us to get in the way of that. I've heard people IRL say that if we turn against Israel, then God will turn against us. First, i'm not turning against anyone... I just think Jews are like anyone else and while God may still have a plan for them, that's in his hands. Second... why are Christians concerned about God's wrath being poured out? If he turns against the US, GOOD. Whip this country back into shape. Whip Israel back into shape too. I know regardless of whatever happens, I am in God's hands. If the US falls tomorrow, in the end, it doesn't matter. I am God's and there is nothing that can happen that will change that. Come good or bad, I know I am his. So why are Christians so concerned about Jews and what they are doing and the need to defend them to the degree that if you don't agree with them, your salvation is questioned? In the bible Jesus didn't say nothing about believing Jews to be chosen people as a need for salvation. I think standing next to your brothers and sisters in Christ as evidence of salvation and that's what Christians are. Jews reject Jesus and are not Christians so I don't see why they are elevated or why I should stand with them regardless of what they do or raise them up as some "sacred cow"?

Honestly, why is a Jew held in any higher regard than a muslim? Both reject Jesus as the savior. That right there says neither will enter the kingdom of heaven. Why should I stand by either?

We can only with God's help control the war that rages in our own hearts and submit to God's will and then in turn try and reach our neighbor with the good news of the gospel and spread the word that Jesus is soon to return so that ourselves and our neighbors have a fighting chance to be a part of the winning side of this evil war.

How many of us have shared the gospel today instead of fighting about crimes someone else has committed? What about the crimes/sins we individually have committed? Just wondering as I am trying to look at the BIGGER PICTURE and not focus on one area of an issue.

Sorry you feel as though you are being attacked, however, in your first posts you seemed to come on a little strong with not a lot of information for us to follow and try and answer your OP. So yes you got some strong responses as some of those Christians were honestly trying to figure out where you were coming from with your OP.

We should always try and respond in a kind and loving way, but we are humans and lots of times we come across with guns blazing....not saying that is what we should do but when confronted in a curt manner curt responses usually follow.

As Christians we are admonished to love one another and turn the other cheek, easy to say hard to practice.

I don't agree with any wrong doing by any country, but I personally can't control what my government does....yes I do vote, but I still can't control the people in power.

I can only submit myself to God and ask Him to help me control myself....and try personally to be kind and loving toward you and everyone else on CC and in the world when I come in contact with them. So you really get no attacks from me towards you.

Maybe a suggestion for you to be a little softer in some of your responses as a few came across as rude and maybe you didn't mean for that to be the case. But I believe the first few responses folks were just trying to find out more about what you were looking for in your OP. So they could give you a better response.

I read some of your response, Seem to me you don't believe Jews is the chosen.

I understand your background and how Jews hate you as a christian, will produce kind of doubt Is this the chosen?

I respect you private opinion about your own Jewish race.

To my knowledge, the state of Israel or the kingdom of Israel has been destroyed for about 2500 years and know we know there is the state named Israel. Some expert said it is miracle that never happen in history of mankind, a country that have been disappear for 2500 years reappears.

What is your take on. Is there anything to do with the term " the chosen"
