Kayla, I bought this Charlie Brown Christmas tree some years back to help me get over my holiday blues at that time. My kids were grown and living miles away, my husband had passed away, I was all alone. I had no reason to decorate. It took great effort for me not to get depressed. Then I spotted this ridiculous Charlie Brown tree displayed in the store and I just thought it was the funniest thing! So I bought one and set it up in my livingroom. Every time I looked at it I laughed!! It's just hilarious looking! And whenever anyone came to my house, I'd ask them what they thought of my "beautiful Christmas tree display". Hahaha!! That comical tree actually helped me get thru the holidays that year. :o

Its beautiful and so is your heart violetreigns.

Without sounding morbid, remember my husband just died. I don't even have one this holiday. How lucky you are to still have this husband who is providing for you. And you will soon see him. Hug him hard! And somehow send him little holiday messages while he is gone. Gift him even though apart.

As for this little crooked tree, I already love it because it is not perfect. After the Lord gives you the lesson He wants to see about the crooked top, share it with people who come to see you. And remember, this little tree once was beautifully straight.

Use it!

The little tree that could......

May our most loving Lord comfort you this season and be your everything. Amen
My condolences to you. Hugs...

Dang thing looked so good at the store! How did I not notice HE/SHE was crooked as a dogs hind leg? I dont get it.

Funny part of this is that this is EXACTLY what a lot of folks say about the person they voted for after he/she got into office.

:)

Haha! That is true! I got a call one year for polling. The lady asked what such and such a candidate could do to get my vote. I said "keep the promises he made before he got elected". Silence on the phone. Ya just want I figured.:p

'May all your days be merry
Your seasons full of cheer
But 'til it's January
I'll just go and disappear
Oh Santa may have brought you some stars for your shoes
But Santa only brought me the blues...'

I'll counter that any day with "My Christmas" by Brett Williams.

"But my Christmas
Was just a little bit different
Cause I've got Jesus
The hope that never dies

And the cares of the season
Are just a little bit distant
For He has overcome the world"

Put the tree in a Charlie Brown Christmas movie. By the end of the movie it will be straight and have more branches.

What, you didn't notice that? The tree at the start is not the same tree they wind up with. Compare the two side by side.

I don't celebrate christmas, but.....

My Dad is pretty depressed this year. He is having MAJOR relationship issues with my Mom who is pretty depressed in general, and doesn't care much about anything these days. His 2 older sons and 7 grandchilldren live on opposite sides of the country and don't really involved him in their christmas activites. My sister doesn't have kids, and my wife and I and his 4 grandchildren don't celebrate it. He told me over Thanksgiving he probably won't even put up a tree this year.

On one hand I feel bad for Him, but on the other, he's going to have to evaluate what christmas means to him.
