While 2 Chronicles 7:14 was written to a particular people, the principle remains for all peoples. The troubles that have manifested in the world today are not new. Their forms are new, but trouble always follows when people choose the world over God. At some point, but not until, God's people will again return to Him with ALL their hearts, and He will respond in mercy and heal.

The Apostle Peter at Pentecost pleaded with the people to save themselves from a corrupt generation. He didn't tell them to save the generation. You are correct. Christians cannot and should not vote for Democrats or RINOs. It is really the RINOs who have created the mess of a Uni-Party. Because we do not have that many choices so we vote for the one we think is the less evil.

It don't matter who you vote for because they are both dedicated to the plan so the results will be the same.

Also to establish their agenda it is 2 steps forward, 1 step back, 2 steps forward, 1 step back, which they are gaining ground but it throws people off to think there is not a plan, and they try to make it look as if everything is happening by coincidence to throw the people off to think there is not a plan.

America will harp on something for a while, and then you do not hear about it for a while, and then they will harp on it for a while but the situation is a bit worse like the coronavirus among other things.

Many will not accept it but the top leaders of the Republican party, and Democrat party are actually working together to establish the new age movement.

Donald Trump was put in to place to cause the parties to fight more with each other.

Donald Trump was a Democrat but he became a Republican president because he could cause more of an uproar, and fighting between the parties if he stirred up the patriots, and people who like a moral base.

That is why they went to far left and far right to increase the fighting.

America and Russia have also been working together the whole time which is the Hegel System.

The one world government will be a balance between democracy and communism, and the one world religious system will be a balance between atheism and spirituality, their higher power nature the God of forces.

From here on out it is garbage, and has been for a while, and the American government wants to put people in office that are not that great, and corrupt, and do not keep their promises, and not trustworthy, who people do not respect that much because they want the people to hate the government, and along with the fighting between the parties America can go to a new form of government that will mimic the one world government to come, and blame it on the people.

The problem I see is that logic, common sense , Christian principled, strong , competent leadership isn’t popular anymore with the public . Our national politics has turned from intelligent debate at who can best run a nation to an entertainment industry who can make the best 1 line political jabs at the other candidate. It’s turned into a circus without any down to earth logical debate.
He wasn’t perfect but I sure do miss intelligent good nature and heart of the Reagans. When you compare Reagan speech’s with any of the last 4 presidents it’s just no comparison. Something changed in America . I watched a Reagan speech video at a college graduation and he had full deep meaningful sentence’s that were well structured. Heartfelt and uplifting emotion and you could see this man pouring himself out to the next generation, not a mention about left/right or black/white but unity was the common theme.Then I watch Bidens more recent college speech full of resentment, anger, 3-5 word sentences that my 7 year old could have put together , racism , and general division political and socially . I would have been embarrassed to have Bidens speech in my gratitude video. How far we’ve fallen politically and socially. The nation needs to repent. It’s the only way to fix this. It isn’t going to happen with a leadership/or regime change.

Hello Cameron! I agree that the promise there was given to Israel and operates within the covenant God made with Israel, a covenant he has made with no other nation (Psalm 147:20). As a principle for all peoples, interesting Q. I have often heard 2 Chronicles 7:14 used as a standalone verse, rarely have I heard anyone quote another verse from the same chapter and never a sermon on the whole chapter. There seems to be a lot in the rest of the chapter that would put 2 Chronicles 7:14 in a somewhat different context, perhaps why the rest of the chapter is not quoted as frequently. God Bless You

As I understand the chapter as a whole, and within the context of the passage, God seems to recognize that Israel will be unfaithful and He will bring reprisals upon them. As such, because of His great mercy, He gives His prescription to receive forgiveness and blessing once again.
The correlation for us today would probably be Hebrews 12.
